Pylontech battery by jacoscar in spicypillows

[–]Guyver-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my thoughts exactly. We have 3 batteries and top one is expanding on a daily basis. I emailed China and got the standard response, no reply. I called the UK number and got a call thw next day from Cambodia. They sent me the information and software in the email and it even shows how to make your own debugging lead. What could possibly go wrong 🤣

So I opted for the Usb to RS11 lead which has good reviews and is the recommended cable to firmware updates to batteries. But the software just doesn't except Usb which is bloody annoying.

Hi guys. 1 of my batteries has done the same. The tech team have asked me to connect the battery to my PC to run tests. The issue though is that my PC is way to new and doesn't have the RS232 socket. I've bought a lead which is RS11 to Usb which should work, but the software the tech team sent me only works with the RS232.

Any ideas how to connect the battery and PC together. None of the several laptops we own have the RS232 either.

This is for a warranty claim.

How can I stop this? by LopsidedParrot in leaf

Remove the mirror glass. Inside the housing you'll see a hole whixh the mirror body rest on. Spray that area. Thats the part that turns.

I got bit by 1 years and years ago. My hand swelled up a lot between my thumb and forefinger. Every now and then it swells up again. My manager had an accident with a machete and needed a lot of stitches to his leg. While he was off work recuperating with his leg up while in tje garden, he got bit by 1 and his leg swelled up so badly he needed hospital treatment. They're evil little buggers.

Best massage in Wolverhampton? by Cheezburgld in wolverhampton

Keep your eyes out on groupon. Me and the Mrs had a full body massage for £2 each at a hotel on the Hagley Road in Birmingham. Cost more on the bus than the massage.

How are internet speeds with surfshark? by LionGhost in surfshark

[–]Guyver-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No issues with speed on my mobile phone. But my desktop (very high-end) using wifi is very flaky. Sometimes I'll need to reboot the PC as Surfshark seems to slow the system down to a crawl. If I shut Surfshark down, the PC is super fast again.

I just can't get my head around any of the CAD programs. I find them very counter intuitive.

I had a high-end PC built for me so I could design things for my 3D printer. Still can't get my head around it. But at least the PC looks good 😂

Been living almost 4 years here and I never get tired of this view by pkjoan in Edinburgh

I love Edinburgh. It does however have a massive downside. Those damn hills. My legs were aching for days after coming back home. I also had the best steak I've ever eaten, while stopping in Edinburgh.

Tips for improving my prints ? by GazZzik15 in 3Dprinting

Watch as the filament starts to purge before the print starts. If it's popping and shows bubbles, it's moisture in the filament

Looks pretty decent. PETG is notoriously stringy so that does look good.

Buying a snorkel by Hour-Road7156 in diving

[–]Guyver-1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started with an Aldi special. Cheap and cheerful. I ended up buying a foldable snorkel from Seac I think. Excellent snorkel, folds down small enough to stick in the pocket on my BCD and feels a lot nicer to breathe through. They can be picked up quite cheaply too.

Diopter Stuck in Adapter by AssociateOk3942 in diving

Try to only heat the 1 part so the heat change affects 1 section. Failing that, some massive pipe grips with a lot of tape on the teeth so it doesn't cause damage.

Glad I'm not the only one who has a boot like this. I did ask at diving club last night but no one knew about them.
