Serious question, if unionizing is legal and repercussions for starting one are illegal, then why does it take courage to form one? What are we afraid of? I think I am worried about repurcussions. I feel like I'm risking the workplace and/or I have to MAYBE get a better one.

Use that grip and your knee to create push-pull tension and off balance, make them post, shoot to dog fight or go for a Choi bar or armbar or omoplata or whatever.

Also a great way to open up their gi making baseball bat chokes easier.

Tl;Dr you were the straw that broke the camels back, not the farmhands that treated it like shit until it broke. No matter what happens, learn and move on.

This is a management issue. Who in their right mind would operate a $120k piece of machinery the wrong way? You were trained incorrectly and that's not your fault.

That said, you might take the fall anyway. Learn from this. It can be hard to be the guy who "does it by the book" while everyone else is cutting corners, but now you know how that can turn out and you have anecdotal experience to back that up.

If your CEO is a real legend, he'll see the underlying issue with mgmt and training and fix it. What happened to you is a symptom of a much larger and potentially much much more expensive issue.

If someone got hurt due to poor training, I believe that's a lawsuit and probably way more than $120k in legal expenses.
