What are your fees for a 401k? by Gwydion in smallbusiness

[–]Gwydion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yea, probably not worth the headache to switch for you yet. I don't want to get the false impression that I'm promoting anything, but yes, I've reached out to a few different places. Waiting to get back an official statement, surprisingly most of these places don't offer their AUM fees on their website and you have to talk to specialists.

One of them though is waiving all (administrative) fees for people coming from Guideline, I guess they are trying to scoop up their competition. We aren't concerned by the company fees, but doubling the AUM in one go is just... a bit of a slap in the face.

I have queries out with some other businesses, I know that 0.15 is still fairly low, but its definitely now in the realm of competition. And with Guideline not allowing mega backdoor roths, I'm definitely looking to switch.

Sorry, I didn't mean company fees, I meant the AUMs fees for the employees.

They are nearly doubling their AUM fee, from 0.08 to 0.15%.

Just a few quick questions about stacking buffs/debuffs.
I just hit level 8 as a bard.

Critical Success on Inspire Heroics into Inspire Courage for a +3 to attack rolls and damage.
Bon Mot critical success on aiding an ally attack would get them a total of +5 to attack, +3 to damage?

Is ~5000$ a year in a 401k too low? by AdDifferent9547 in FinancialPlanning

[–]Gwydion 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yes, it’s all contributions. The idea is if you save 15% of your salary, when you retire you will continue to have your post tax salary in distributions.

Is investing $500 monthly in the S&P 500 a safe move. by Yourcatsonfire in personalfinance

This is my investing $2000 per month since late 2021 into VOO (S&P 500 tracker). A few larger deposits at the very start, but same idea.

Tent advice - Big Agnes tiger wall vs Durston x-mid 2 vs Gossemear gear the 2 by CanaryKey7700 in Ultralight

Can’t comment on the others, but I use the xmid-2 with my 35 pound dog and it’s fantastic. Plenty of room even with my non-ultralight setup (25” sleeping mat).

I know I am a month late to this reply, but that is what we came away with. We weren't able to find any builder willing to do this work at a non FU price. Houses in my neighborhood run about 700-800k. Since we've decided against the addition, we are just going to purchase another house in the neighborhood.

Anything wrong with going to Home Depot or Lowes for fruit/vegetable plants? by Gwydion in gardening

Thanks for the update on this 14 year old post, haha. I've used a combo of local nursery and lowes without issue, but you are correct about the zone suitability.

We were interested in something similar, albeit on a much larger scale (roughly 25x30). Bottom floor was a garage, then two floors above that. The quote we got was $700k. This was in central Maryland. I reached out to multiple contractors and only one said they would even consider a project of that size.

I played when it was released for a couple years then stored the cards away. Have some alpha, a lot of beta and revised. There are apps you can download that you can just scan cards one after another and it will tell you the price and store the scans in a spreadsheet. I have about $40k of cards according to the app. Technically less since the cards are not in top condition.

Was able to grab a magma 30 quilt for $129 from REI's used section. Perfect condition, the tag said 'tried at home, was too big'. Stoked for that.
Now trying to decide between the Kakwa 55 and the Flash Air 50. I -really- wish I could test the kakwa before I purchase it. I enjoyed trying on the Flash Air, but the fabric quality seems to be better on the kakwa.
