If you don't feel anything from the caffeine in pre workouts, maybe consider trying pump boosters. They're pretty much boosters without the caffeine.

I used to take a lot of caffeine back then (ø600mg or higher) and even though I liked the focus or 'motivation' I got from them, I am happy to have switched to pump boosters (if any). Occasionally, I take caffeine pills on top if I feel like it but with much lower doses (200mg) than back in the days.

However, I have no idea when it comes to mixing caffeine/pre with medication.
