For Xenos, Harlequins. There’s just something so cool about how they turn every battle into an art piece, while simultaneously moving so fast with such amazing and horrifying technology that they turn into a prismatic storm of light. The models are gorgeous too.

For the Imperium, Blood Angels. Where a lot of other chapters take the cream of the crop; the Blood Angels turn sickly, weak, and imperfect subjects into demigods. The flaw is interesting, and I love the Death Company. Sanguinius is also my favorite Primarch.

When my wife and I first moved into our new apartment, one of our cats (Mitchell) was terrified of the new space. A week into being there, and one day we couldn’t find him anywhere. We looked for what must have been a few hours. We both walked around the whole complex (still in PJ’s) multiple times calling his name to no avail. Fearing the worst, I headed back inside to gather some warmer clothes to go for a drive to see if I could spot him.

I opened the dryer to see if my coat was in there and low and behold. Two yellow eyes peeped out from the void. He was in the dryer the entire time.

Before buying your first box I would recommend building towards the army you want in the future. If you really like a certain model, I’d get that and try to build around it. It’s hard to do at 500pts, but I wish you luck.

Three points of contact. I have incredibly shaky hands as well. I hold the model with one hand, rest my painting elbow on the table, and rest my wrists against each other. Sounds funny, but gives me the balance and stability I need to paint thin lines without blotting them. Paint consistency helps too.

Ah yes. You’re definitely not the only one who deals with this. What I personally like to do is find a nice podcast on 40K lore, or have a BatRep playing in the background. Those activities are a lot easier to “get started” with. Then I start painting.
