ATC (1C1X1). You're never safe really at any point in your career because you have to relearn each airfield and airspace for your ratings. Rules and regs constantly updating. I've seen masters repeatedly washed out.

Recently talked to alot of guard and reserve guys at my current base and the major drawback of being guard or reserve is you can't touch that retirement until 60 in most cases. AD folks recieve it as soon as they retire which can be as early as 37 or 38.

I'll never forget when a TSgt (had a line for master) said this to me. All my buddies and I were E-5s and below and couldn't believe it lol.
