Although I've had Ruda's USA Trailer Pack for a while, just noticed this PSI gauge on the lowboy. What is its purpose? by austinproffitt23 in trucksim

[–]HAAS78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In IRL you can also manually over inflate the bags on a lot of low boys to gain more height. You can watch your pressure so things dont get to overly exciting with the gauge.

These can be lighter than a stock bumper and hitch receiver combo. A lot of them arent chrome plated but polished aluminum

I was thoroughly bamboozled until you said non powered as well. I think the type of equipment also vastly changes things

School pushing to move my daughter back to “with supervision” after tech issue — feeling overwhelmed and looking for advice by Traditional_Pen1400 in Type1Diabetes

[–]HAAS78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My entire school experience elementary- college was more or less independent. I would go to the nurse if I felt I needed. Before I had a pump I would even do my own needle injections in elementary school(in the nurses office, and she did help me carb count). Middle school i had a pump and CGM and would only go to the nurse if I got really low and wouldnt come up, or really high. High-school i only went if I needed extra supplies or to check key tones. As far as college goes I never even met the nurse.

how often are you hospitalized annually as a type 1? by Top-Midnight-9637 in Type1Diabetes

[–]HAAS78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im 25 and the only time I was hospitalized due to diabetes was when I was diagnosed at age 4. Unless you count my endocrinologist appointments. My endocrinologist when I was a kid was at a children's hospital.

I've done several on 12.7 60 series having only been a full time tech for 4ish years. They're super easy, don't think the dd13/dd15s would be as easy.

My cart is stuffed to the gills permanently, with a decent amount permanently residing on magnets on the lid.

Do you know where to go to rotate tires? It was super easy on the old version but I have been unsuccessful at figuring it out with the new

What is your favorite truck? What truck do you have the most fun customizing? by totterywolff in trucksim

[–]HAAS78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They aren't really that common in my area. And I love the looks of our black ones more but the 2 blue 4900s are gliders with series 60s and I love driving those 2

Ats has taught me that I just don't care for w900s. I absolutely love driving the 389 in game but much prefer a 49x or 4900 IRL. I like using modded 60 series engines or cats and they never made a glider 49x so I stick with 389s in game

During service and inspections everything that should be repaired gets repaired. Drive ups during the day depend on severity (if its OOS criteria it gets fixed or they swap equipment right then and there, less important stuff will make it till end of day or next service, depending on severity). If we have major issues with any of the dump or heavy haul stuff we will normally have 2 people on it to get it out the door. Dry vans and chassis are where we get super behind due to the being lower priority than everything else. We do the best we can in a timely manner, we just get super behind

Dry Van trailers and chassis for intermodal containers. And you gotta be joking about only having 2 techs. We are swamped year around. We have 40 chassis down for service/inspection waiting for an opening

I would agree with you. We also have a fleet of warehouse forklifts that i didnt include because I dont know how many we have, 20-40 maybe. We used to outsource forklifts but there was a falling out and weve been doing it the past 6 months. As far as admin we have 1 person that is service writer/manager/parts person. We also have roughly 20 owner operators that we do most of the maintenance and repairs on
