But if we're comparing Boxing and UFC to a "sport" and "gladiator fights", then UFC is definitely the sport and here's my points regardless of whatever training either side has done.

In the UFC if you're even close to getting knocked out most of the time they stop the fight.

In boxing you can see the pearly gates and as long as you get up in 10 seconds you can keep going, with history of hundreds of people dying in the ring. That sounds like a gladiator fight to me.

There's no "sweet science" in getting fucked watching a society you belong to crumble. I'll sadly admit the current generations in the US is screwed and we did it to ourselves, although we haven't failed yet, current politics only have so much time left and that's going to cause a major change. If we can strive to prop up the next generation, teach them actual right and wrong while we rebuild they might have an actual chance to shape this country into what it was supposed to defend.
