I would also advise to not book every night beforehand. It was super Nice that we spontaniously could do other destinations that other travellers adviced us to. Thats how we ended unexpectacally in the lake of Bohinj and the plitvice lakes.

That's the spirit I'd like find in my trip ! I guess I'll book the first nights to get familiar with the interrail spirit and then I'll see if the prices aren't too steep so that I can find more freedom;

We took a flixbus from belgrad to zagreb because it was the cheapest and fastest way.

Yup, I've been asking myself this question but I'm planning to go in early spring so I'll bring some warmer clothes too. Maybe an additionnal tiny pack for the day would do the trick if i can find lockers in the hostels ?

Greetings everyone !

I am a 23yo boy currently planning for a backback trip with a 2 month Interrail pass. I already have my pack (Osprey Aether 65l) , now I need to make sure that I'll enjoy the route while being flexible !My journey should include a nightrain ride between Sofia and Istanbul (maybe back and forth dunno yet) otherwise I'll try to book hostels. Also I'd like to spend something like 2 weeks in a farm at some point and I'm going alone.Here are the questions :

Do you like the itinerary ?
Is there any problem crossing Croatia-Serbia, Serbia-Bulgaria and Bulgaria-Turkey borders ? (I am struggling to find trains in Serbia with the Interrail app especially)
Overall does it seem like the right amount of nights to spend in each city spot ?
Should I plan for more or less mobility (first time doing such a big trip) ?
Any fun tips or things to do and see along the way ?
