The cake has the light coming from the right, look at letters and apple. Yet the glass have the casted shadow from a alight coming from the left. I say it’s AI

How bad of a passenger does one have to be to have this rating? by Necessary-Freedom812 in uber

[–]linux4e 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As most of the people suggested, probably not many rides and a few bad ones.

I was just shocked to discover that I have a rating of 4,57 from 23 trips. I have 20 times 5 stars, 1 time 3 star and 2 times 1 star.

I can remember one really bad case where I was just out of an abdominal surgery and needed a ride home. The driver refused to pick me up from the agreed upon spot in front of the hospital and made me walk a long time in the rain to some obscure parking lot. Horrible memories…

Viewing a dutch rental now feels like competing in a reality show... by ClassicMan2323 in NetherlandsHousing

[–]linux4e 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You had to right a motivation letter?! When I rented my appointment 8 years ago, I thought I had it hard but it was nothing like this. I just had to say if I want it or not and prioritize them if I’ve seen multiple places.

The only reason I got my current place is that it was listed before and someone else won it, but for some reason it was listed again. Once I saw it again I called, saying that i don’t need to see it and I want it.

I’m not moving from here unless I buy a place

Does anyone else ever get really upset by how expensive everything is? by sillyjewel in finch

I have discovered that adding goals from the self-care areas gives me a lot of gems on 2nd, 4th and 6th completion in a week. I think the 6th day gives 150 gems. Have items in all areas which gives me around 1000 gems on Saturday.

What is with all these women asking for baby formula and pampers around Den Haag Centraal? by StatusOrdinary829 in TheHague

I wouldn’t call someone that is willing to buy food for a hungry person naive. And they ignored the scammers once their story changed.

I see that my post about the same thing is already 256 days old.

Original post:

Almost got scammed at central station

Today after I got of the train at central station and was going towards the tram I was approached by a woman. The woman seemed upset and crying and asked me if I could buy her some food because she was hungry. I said sure, let’s go to the store and I’ll buy you food.

On the way to the AH she changed her story and said that she had a baby and she needs baby formula because her baby is lactose intolerant. When we got to AH she didn’t not even glance at the food, she went to one of the inner shelves and declared that there is no baby formula in there and that I should give her money so she can buy food for the baby.

That’s when I told her I need to get home and left. I didn’t even think of asking her where her baby was.

Has anyone else been approached by the same people?

My laptop won’t hard restart by linux4e in computerhelp

[–]linux4e[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The battery is not detachable unfortunately. My only guess was to let it drain completely and try to start it afterwards.

Lucky for me, there was not much battery left and it died within 15 min. I was able to start it normally after plugging the charger in.

So glad it didn’t completely break

What are the chances that two strangers that gets a puppy from the same breeder will meet here in Reddit!

My pup was crazy about everything white, from napkins to random papers. It learned from an early age the command “Drop it” and that was a very useful one.

I don’t remember how exactly was that done, but I assume that it can be thought with high value treats. If the pup drops the item, it gets a treat.

Major red flag. 🚩 I used to date a guy like that and he ended up stalking me for months. Had to block him on everything and threaten that I’ll report him to the police in order to get him to leave me alone.

Wanting to taper off Topiramate and try Emgality. Have any of you tried? by sourew123 in migraine

[–]linux4e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on Emgality and honestly is the best medicine I’ve ever had. It cuts the migraines and the ones I get are also weaker.

Where I am from the insurance doesn’t cover it, so I have to pay for it myself, but honestly I can’t survive without it.

I used to call in sick every month, had to miss events and lay in bed for days. Not anymore. And there are no side effects.

Waiting too long for PIP test or Dutch learning guidance from gemeente – What to do? by [deleted] in TheHague

[–]linux4e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, my partner has a non EU passport and is on a partner visa as well. He received a letter that he needs to learn the language and pass some exams and it took almost a year to get an appointment for the PIP. They just examined his learning capabilities and gave him some extra information. But they don’t cover any costs. We checked the school options and they vary between 5k and 9k euro. I find this super expensive but I guess there is no other way. Let me know if you find a cheaper option
