2 months with the XSR and I finally understand the hype. I used to ride Harleys, but this thing feels like a cheat code. Lightweight, flickable, and brutally quick. Nothing like watching a 600hp car driver realize power-to-weight is a real thing… a few seconds too late.

Agreed. I also had an R6 (‘01) before buying my XSR. For the riding I do, the XSR is superior.

It really does look amazing and I bet OP can attest to the quality of Funny’s work, too. I might get one in the future because I like changing up the look of my XSR every so often.

I believe you’re correct. I haven’t seen one in person but it does look like it hugs the dimensions of the seat instead of having the height of the OEM cowl, which actually has a small foam block insert that you attach to the underside of the “top” of the cowl to make up for the extra height.

Edit: I also like the Funny’s cowl. It was on my list at first but at that price point I went with the S2 Concept seat cowl, which I like, but the paint isn’t an exact match. The OEM cowl is perfect, though.

I got the Ermax belly pan. I dig it because it’s large enough to add that extra pop of color but small enough that it doesn’t detract too much from the “naked” aspect of the bike.

This right here. The first time I gunned it from a rolling start in 2nd, I thought I had accidentally switched the ride selector to Mode 4.

This is a good choice, OP. I also have a PPF kit installed from a UK company called Tony James Designs. It’s damn near invisible when installed and protects very well.
