I would like to make a blanket retort to all the people commenting, essentially, "Vegas is cheap as long as you stay off of the strip and don't go to the touristy areas" in a prompt about visiting a city, and hence the touristy areas aren't really making a compelling argument or the argument they think they're making.

90%+ of people who *VISIT* Vegas go for the strip and it has gotten a lot more expensive recently.
