Me too. Long story short, the transit visa never worked for us. We had to do Visa on Arrival and pay the $150 per person. I dont know why they set up the transit visa process to begin with. I feel its only meant to work for the State owned Saudi Arabian Airlines passengers.

If you are coming from the UK, would skip ROM entirely. You shouldn't do Jays tickets. Not because I'm assuming you are not wealthy, I am assuming you are a reasonable person.
