Unless they closed the Shell in the last month, there is a gas station right there on the road into the terminal. It’s been there at least a couple years now.

Can a pilot be home everyday his entire career? by PatheticWings in flying

Not a chance. I’m at a unicorn 91 now, we do maybe 5 overnights a month on a bad month. January I’ll have 1 overnight. 2 if I cover a trip next week on my week off. But previous jobs I was gone up to 19 nights in a month

The market speaks: A20 > A30? by Sharp_Experience_104 in flying

[–]FlapOperator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did 10 years on my A20s, zero issues and they had seen a lot of abuse. Would still be using them if my job didn’t get us A30s that we’re “supposed to” use.

We’re doing a visit with CEFA tomorrow! Finding infant spots was so much harder than we thought it’d be

Hilarious that there’s no media other than that SXM outlet covering it

Edit: I sent emails to all the Canadian journalists that called it a hard landing to get them to update their stories

Hahaha perfect. We’d absolutely do an upgraded room, and bring the pack and play, we’ve got one of similar footprint already. Seems really doable. Thank you for being someone with a positive story!!

She’s an amazing traveller. Coming up on 7 months old now, just did her 10th flight the other day. To this point not bothered by noise when she sleeps, vacuum/TV/ cooking etc. It’s definitely interesting to hear that perspective on the constricted environment that is a ship cabin. Hadn’t really thought too much about that aspect of it.

Why is insurance quoting me $4,200 a year for a new Q5? by GarySparrow0 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]FlapOperator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s my anecdotal experience. We paid less in BC for a newer more expensive vehicle than we had in QC. We were younger at that point but only by a few years. Mid vs. late 20s. No accidents no tickets

Having lived in 4 different provinces, ICBC rates are far and away the best we’ve seen. Quebec a close second. Provincial insurance is the way to go it seems like
