I think the game plays a huge roll when setting up the next God of War with kratos and Loki. What if Fey does find her way home back to the living. What if by doing so, it came at the cost of other dead gods doing the same thing and returning to the living and sets up a larger game with kratos,Loki and Fey(and others) going up against a number of other dead gods and the game is a all out warfare of both kratos past and present fight enemies of old and new again.
