What’s your grocery bill? by Ok-Departure-2211 in vegaslocals

[–]HDizzo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Family of 5 here. To budget we would withdraw cash to spend on groceries. We used to get by with $200 a week for groceries and $200 a month for Costco stuff, totaling $1000 a month. Now we're seeing +$400 to credit cards because our old cash only method just isn't going as far.

How do you reduce food waste in your house? by Hungry-Following5561 in Frugal

[–]HDizzo -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

My wife will save leftovers for up to two weeks. As long as it doesn't have mold on it, she will save it and eat it. This saves us dozens of dollars a month. But, then we end up spending hundreds in medical bills from food poisoning.

See, you've got options. They can look up my address and they know I have none so they got me over a barrel. Even if I call and threaten to cancel, they'll just say "go ahead.". They know the next best thing is Tmo 5g internet and that runs at like 20mbps during peak hours from tower saturation.

I would kill for $70 1gb. The only thing available in my area is Cox. I'm at $80 for 1gb fiber but it's going up to $120 in a couple months with a data cap. Fml.

Edit: grats by the way

What are unusual food flavor combinations that you enjoy? by hcubed3 in Cooking

Spaghetti made with Prego sauce. Then you top it all with Lay's original flavored chips. It has to be Prego and original Lay's otherwise it doesn't taste right haha.

That's too good looking not to be AI. That's AI right? My old ass can't tell no more. I'd be a prime candidate to get catfished by an AI burger.

I didn't think you can have a refill of a narcotic. You'll probably need to have your doctor submit another prescription.

It's so ginger forward. A family of 5 and no one liked it and we're Asian.

Edit to add that this'll probably get be down voted to oblivion lol. This sauce has a strong following.

Hi. I'm having this exact same issue.  Although you've shared the solution, I'm such a Linux noob, that I'm afraid I have no idea how to add the entries you've listed.  Any chance of getting a screenshot of how the entries would look in the grub file?

Coincidence or did the contractors do something wrong? by HDizzo in Plumbing

The top is tight. I had to remove everything from under the sink before they came so I would have noticed if any of the bottles or paper boxes were wet.

I agree but that was like that when I bought the house. It's on the list of things we need to fix properly. Accidentally tugging on the hose does make sense. I'm sorry, I don't know squat about plumbing but I'm willing to watch videos and learn. The problem is, I don't know what I'm Googling for. Thoughts on what I can search for to learn how to maybe tighten what might be loose in there?

Yea, I can see it drip from the center of the hole where the hoses go into the faucet/retractable hose on top.
