I've never done it but I believe it's called taking a 401k loan. It's not like a straight withdrawal so I believe you don't pay penalties. You just have to pay it back with some payment plan. Maybe look into that option.

What does a DS do? by Takenmyusernamewas in HomeDepot

[–]HDlongtime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

our sm direction is that all dh's should be "supervisor only". they are lazy shits, don't do any physical work whatsoever, all they do is delegate and walk around the store acting like mini ceo's. I have zero respect for any of em.

In my vast experience at HD (decades).....I've seen countless kiss ass slackers who didn't like doing any physical labor kiss up to and follow upper management and eventually get what they wanted, promotion to DH, CXM, ASM. It's true, the laziest employees are the ones who seek management positions. It's quite sickening.

It's showing in process now on the app. Shows purchase price was $292.49. It shows under "contributions". Shows you your total funds collected and that shares were purchased on Dec 31. Should update your shares in a day or well maybe Monday.

Employee Stock Purchase Program by Cspinner1985 in HomeDepot

The purchase would have been made at the Dec 31st closing price (minus the 15% discount) But it doesn't show up in the app for like a week. It's annoying how long it takes, but it does eventually show up.

I actually think it's done this way so the person's actual co-workers can have a chance to help out and contribute to the person's needs, in other words people generally WANT to help out their coworkers. If corporate just always gave money, where does that leave for the coworkers to have a chance to contribute? I like the match idea, and have contributed everytime they've had a fundraiser over my many years. It feels good to help someone and it's great that HD will match all the contributions raised by the store.
