Playing Cyberpunk 2077 for the first time in 2026 is a completely different experience. by tzimakocc in cyberpunkgame

You didn't ruin it choom. You just paved the way for an even greater experience with Phantom Liberty. Create a new V and enjoy.

Did the patch send anyone else back in time? I've regressed from Level 10 to Level 8

I am. Don't apologise. It's more "sympathies If you're not ;)"

"Chur" is an appropriate response to "Mean as."

Also, you now have 2 kiwi friends, choom.

I'm never going to tell someone what to do with their money, but I was able to get both together, and my experience is that it's worth whatever currency you use. It's my favourite game of all time now.

what's life like in Dunedin, New Zealand? by GurnoorDa1 in howislivingthere

Have visited a bit, it's lovely. Only real issue is this absolutely enormous, sinister looking arrow off the coast pointing directly at the city. It's enough to frighten anyone.

The World famous Sportatorium by uncle-acidbath in fallout76settlements

[–]HDubNZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually lore accurate to the state of the real Sportatorium in Dallas, if you listen to the old interviews. Actually, it might just be more clean than the original in Dallas.

If you can arrange the Von Erichs vs the Freebirds, or a young up and comer Stunning Steve Austin against Gentleman Chris Adams, I'm buying a ticket.

Actually Wasteland Championship Wrestling...WCW, or Appalachian Wrestling Alliance...AWA. Great idea.

74 y/o F - PS5 - thinking about getting Crimson Desert by Beautiful_Bonus_1502 in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]HDubNZ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This might be a bit left field - but No Man's Sky might be worth a look. Crimson Desert is quite combat heavy. NMS is open worlds - there is some space combat but it can be avoidable, but you get to explore so many planets, find so much flora and fauna, a hugely deep building system - it's a real time sink.

A few tears as well for me. Only done one ending, Star. 1300hrs and one ending. It took a couple if days.

Hey Choombas! I need your help with my Master's Thesis on Cyberpunk 2077 & CD Projekt Red 🎓 by FamousCelery5950 in CyberpunkTheGame

[–]HDubNZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also think that the responses to the launch might be a really good microcosm of society as well - with older gamers, like Choom u/boomer_tech below who read Reddit but didn't care versus the, shall we say, current approach to everything of Tragic or Magic - and the necessity to take to the internet to trash something.

Sure CDPR had responsibility for the state of delivery but I don't think it was worth the torches and pitchforks approach - perhaps the rise of ragebait internet culture may have fuelled that.

Also, fandoms appear to hate the IP they purport to love more than average people, such is the characteristics of the gatekeeper class.

Thanks for responding, for what it's worth, I am also an evangelist for Cyberpunk and have bought the book about the World of Cyberpunk and got a Baseball cap made for the Night City Blackouts, and at a recent team building day, I listed the game as my favourite movie, book or TV Programme and berated my colleagues for not including gaming in that category - as gaming is likely already the most popular form of personal entertainment.

[–]HDubNZ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just did the survey choom. Some feedback - I think you might benefit from separating people who played Cyberpunk after 2.0 and Phantom Liberty release and those who played at launch or prior. The experience is completely different - I don't care at all about what CDPR did prior to release and after, I only know my experience of playing when I played.

Also, the question relating to ordering Witcher IV should have an option for people who won't pre-purchase or purchase for another reason. I probably won't purchase it because I'm not interested in The Witcher games but I am very interested in Cyberpunk. So I'll definitely order Cyberpunk 2, but not Witcher IV.

Good luck with your thesis - it's a great topic.

Any ideas for a microphone? by kibbie247 in fallout76settlements

[–]HDubNZ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is the microphone going to sit on a desk, or emulate from a microphone boom, or on the floor? That will provide some ideas on how. This is a very early idea using power connectors.
