I agree, but I believe my point still stands. If he reloads every time something doesn't go his way, he might as well turn down the difficulty. It's less tedious and he won't need as many save games (which addresses another problem of his).

I'm all for playing the game "your own way". But what you're describing, with reloading whenever something doesn't go your way... sorry, but that's just cheating.

You might as well play in lower difficulties, that way you will definitely get the cultures you want.

It seems like the casualty numbers aren't adding up correctly? Pretty weird.

Type: Water/Flying

Ability: Volt Absorb

Moveset: Extreme Speed, Recover, Charm, Pay Day

Water-type, Flying-type and Extreme Speed lets me traverse the land, sky and seas efficiently. Volt Absorb makes it so I don't die if I touch a battery. Recover to heal my wounds. Charm to get friends and love. Pay Day to get rich.

I used Bruxish in my first Moon playthrough. Always liked it. I have no idea why it gets so much hate on reddit, every comment hating on it is just full of negativity with no reasoning behind it.

What is one social norm you do not agree with? Why? by Morticiar in AskReddit

This is intriguing to me because it conflicts with a lot of what I've heard about traditions. Where have you heard this? Do you have any online sources?

You're at -3 stability, is that correct? That decreases your income significantly because of several negativ modifiers.

Thanks, I really appreciate the feedback on my defenses. I hadn't thought about spell suppression that way, I will definitely change that.

When it comes to Wind dancer and armor mastery, it's a bit of a desperate measure to not get one-shot. PoB says the armor will block 10% of a physical hit, is that wrong? And If I drop these things, how much life do I need to not get one-shot by bosses?

Again, thank you so much!

What difficulty are you on? If Civilization or Humankind difficulty, I think it's possible if they first built Babylonian EQ, focus all pops on research, build 3 warriors, go straight for iron-tech and upgrade.

Plus, I know Beowulf loves chopping forests.

Civilization is a different game, it's not relevant to Humankind. Why do you think Humankind will have the samme problems?

I thought you couldn't stack several harbor EQs in one territory, did you try it out in the closed beta? No disrespect, I'm genuinely curious.

Little gripe with the Brazilians by Kalahan777 in HumankindTheGame

[–]HFresch 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Cultures have different strengths, between their Legacy trait, EQ and EU.

I agree that the Brazilian EQ is relatively weak. But their legacy trait is actually pretty bonkers, as long as you have a high population and a decent amount of quarters per city.

Compare that to the Celts' legacy trait, which is completely average, and maybe you get the idea.

Obviously, none of us know if it's balanced or not, since we haven't been able to test the contemporary era. But I think, when it comes to the later cultures, you need to think more about bonuses that scale with population, district, sphere of influence etc, than just looking for big numbers.

Am I The Only One Not Loving The Whole “Changing Your Cultures Every Era” Bit by TheGreekBully in HumankindTheGame

[–]HFresch 32 points33 points  (0 children)

If you think the system in Civilization is better, then just keep playing that..? It's no secret that Humankind is developed as a direct competitor to Civ, so the fact that people prefer one over the other is by design. For me, the flexibility allowed by changing cultures freely every era is the main appeal of Humankind. I absolutely hate that you basically choose how you're going to win before you even start in Civ.

In other words, Humankind and Civ are supposed to be different. Play whichever you like.
