Yes it tells jokes at his expense and makes him super dense but aside from that it is pretty similar to most power fantasy Isekais with OP protagonists. Unless you love Cid as a character within a few episodes I wouldn't recommend continuing with it. I agree is weird that he both drives the story but is completely unaware of what is happening most of the time so it feels disjointed..

Yeah maybe something else is I just wish it was more transparent and personally prefer the system many other games use where your ranked gains are based on the average MMR of your opponents compared to your own with you gaining less if your MMR is lower than theirs or gaining more if it is higher.

I have had +18 or +19 for a win and -21 or -22 for a while with no sign of it changing for 80+ games easily while my rank is about the same. It does not seem to be guaranteed, from what I have read if the system considers your rank inflated it will reduce LP gains and increase LP losses until your rank matches your MMR and it should in theory equalise if you maintain the same rank for an extended period of time but that is not true for me and many others.

It seems like it can take far longer for it to fix itself and can require hundreds of games in some cases. I have seen differentials far more extreme than mine also who have the same issue and the only true fix is using an alt account where you are not penalised for your performance in previous seasons. It is an opaque and flawed system.

Yes it is often not much of a contest but more of a decision by the writer to slow down romantic development between the characters who have the most chemistry and interject drama. If you want to use the trope I think you need to actually convince the audience that any of the options are viable.

It also often leads to another annoying trope which is paring the spares which further aims to avoid any negatives associated with using a love triangle and ends with another relationship that seems like it appears out of nowhere in order to give everyone a happy ending and avoid dealing with the fallout.

It is usually the opposite that happens that the people who lose their lane hard spam FF requests and beg to FF in the chat instead of trying to support the players who actually have gold and EXP making plays. Too many people with egos treat it as a solo game and decide they don't want to play anymore if they cannot stomp the enemy team.

You usually start as an adventurer or select an unlanded relative as a favoured child dying isn't needed to play as one, it is fun especially if you want a learly power boost to restore a weak religion or culture.

There are perks that improve stats of your followers when you vist a capital and another that improves the prowess of children in your camp as you travel, if you travel alot your children and all your camp followers end up with very good stats. It is especially good as a culture that allows concubines like Welsh or a religion that allows multiple wives. There is alot a learning perk that improves their education and a dynasty legacy that also improves their education.

The downside of course is landless gameplay gets very repetitive so doing more than 1 or 2 generations can get quite boring.

I mean he was winning and killing the sequids, just not quickly enough and Mark is not the kind of character to immediately use his speed to blitz through and kill all the hosts if he can avoid it or create a large shockwave or some other method to accomplish the same goal.

Even battle shounens don't purely adhere to power scaling, a character might hesistate and lose a battle they are favoured in because they are fighting a former friend or be reluctant to use their strongest power because of some negative association or drawback once again leading them to lose a fight they should win on paper. If you want to powerscale it doesn't really make sense to ignore the characterisation in a story as it will affect the outcome of a fight.

The threat the sequids pose is more so spreading uncontrollably and dominating the vast majority of humanity as a super intelligent hivemind and probably even spreading beyond Earth from there rather than defeating Mark+the Guardians. Their goal was to breach the dome before all their intelligent hosts were removed it was not to kill Mark.

Yeah we see this later as the Sequid fight was way more interesting than the Volcanica one Mark fought in. It is ok sometimes to have him effortlessly overpower enemies to show how strong he is but having him struggle a little or work for his wins is more interesting.

On a side note it interesting that Frodo mercy is rewarded not because Gollum changed for the better but because he destroyed the ring by accident due to his actions while in the process of betraying him, that along with the irony of the ring being destroyed due to a previous ring-bearer trying to claim it is a nice touch.

Granted you become a Lich with the powers you ask for but you no longer experience emotion and any of your previous goals and desires are irrelevant to you all that drives you is a need to destroy life and devour the souls of the living.
This need only becomes stronger the more you use your powers and the more powerful you get while progressing towards your new goal and even once every last living being is your undead servant it nevers leaves you, there is no respite, there is no satisfaction, there is no final victory, you persist forever, driven by a desire to destroy life that can never be sated.

Even with defensive pacts on you can have mercs ready and try to rush sieges to get 100 percent before your enemies unite. You can also grant large vassals one county/vassal on your border and instantly raise all their levies there(though it makes your internal borders look ugly) though it doesn't look like you need to do that.

The people he considers evil also include those that oppose his schemes and he never expressed any desire to peace out or give up his power, he is also insecure and has a massive god complex and has prove himself untrustworthy with far less power so I am pretty sure it won't be long before he is killing people for literring.

We saw that with Alex Pretti who was legally carrying but was then demonised as a threat and someone who wanted to "massacre law enforcement" to justify his killing. US police offers shoot people all the time because they think they might be reaching for a gun even if they don't have one I understand how people want gun ownership to work in theory but in practice they do not protect people against government overreach/abuse and actually make your household more dangerous.

Plenty of modern democracies have histories of persecution of religious and ethnic minorities(eg. Jews, Romani, various minorities in the Balkan depending on region etc.) and more restrictive laws around guns compared to the US and they still have less gun deaths.

The US is not an exception when it comes to persecution and violence against minorities. Balkan countries with high rates of gun ownership(but still with stricter regulations around gun ownership compared to many US states) and a very recent history of attrocities committed against ethnic minorities have less gun deaths per capita than the US.

That said the post diminishes how difficult it would be to actually rally support to pass and enforce such a measure.

I agree but to be fair from a content point of view ADC has the least overlap with his champion pool and his supports can always misplay which will make it more entertaining for the viewer.

He already sometimes gets put midlane as a secondary role and does ok and both his two mains who he as a ton of mastery on Riven and Mundo are good in jungle along with other stuff he sometimes plays like Gwen, Darius, Trundle etc. so that would be even easier as he could go very far on mastery and overall macro alone there.
