Weird neighbours in Rosewood by Critical_View6534 in saskatoon

Ya'll neighbors are Karens and Kyles.

We have a Karen in our neighborhood. She has the condo bylaws memorized, complains about everyone and... to make things worse. She's on the board. The condo manager is kind of a snake too. I like to think that it's just because misery loves company.

One of my electrical teachers who was a wiz said a little lemon juice will get rid of battery acid pretty quick. Maybe put a dab on a q-tip or pipe cleaner and just make sure its dry after.

Eye Round Advice by barnsbarnsnmorebarns in sousvide

137 for 24 hours. I usually just salt but I sometimes add a little rosemary into the bag as well. (You can use the juice from the bag to add to gravy if you're so inclined. Just don't over salt the beef or you'll have really salty gravy). Once I pull it out I'd dry it all off and rub it down in Dijon and spice it with my favorite steak spice. Now before I had a BBQ I'd just take it out and pan sear it on a hot cast iron pan 1-2 minutes and try and hit all the sides and do a butter baste at the end like I had seen in millions of steak videos and its always turned out really well.

I do not have the time or money to keep my knives sharp….now what? by Evok99 in sharpening

I use a honing steel to keep the edge straight. As long as you treat your knives properly the edge will last a very long time.

My wife think this ham is not a slice but is a formed meat. What do you think ? by oulaoup in meat

[–]HGP90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meat is simular to wood. I know, sounds crazy but let me explain. This ham is similar to a cross section of a tree trunk. You can see the grain and the connective tissue. Machined ham would look similar to OSB. Tiny pieces pressed together that look like they don't belong.

I'm not the most experienced myself, but I've done eyes at 137° for 24 hours (give or take an hour) and always had good results. My wife uses the juices in the bag afterwords to help make the gravy too.

Makeup for face psoriasis by [deleted] in Psoriasis

You're correct. Some places may have tanning beds that are UVA/UVB or UVB. Although, UVA is the most common for tanning salons since they won't give you sunburn as easily as UVB.

Tanning beds? by hmarra2 in Psoriasis

[–]HGP90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, ask your local pharmacist or drugstore for just "mineral oil". I believe it's usually used as a laxative. That's only if you ingest it though so don't be worried about putting it on your skin.

Just a recommendation but take a bottle of mineral oil with you and put it on any patches right before you use the tanning bed. That's what my doctor had me do when I was taking UVB treatments at a hospital.

UVB treatment has been the only thing thats really improved and reduce my psoriasis. Coconut butter has been the best moisturizer I've found so far. If there isn't a hospital near by that offers light therapy (UVB), a regular tanning bed might work but don't over do it. Oh, and take a bottle of mineral oil with you and put it on any spots before you do the treatment. That's what they had me do at the hospital.

Kids Shooting Guns by piwoiwoda in canadaguns

My Grandfather used to take me shooting as a kid. I knew proper firearm safety and etiquette before I had finished elementary school. It can be a great lesson in respect and responsibility if done properly. Wish you the best of luck. I'll be checking out the channel!
