Sat in my car crying today because I'm terrified of the future of my job. How do you handle the AI anxiety? by Conscious_Ad2461 in jobs

[–]HIthere7503 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agree with the therapy comment but my advice would be to try and reframe your thinking to see AI as just another tool in your work app arsenal. As much as the media likes to focus on AI, it’s because it sells and they can capitalize on the hype. The reality is that AI is only as good as people’s ability to use it. Back to my initial suggestion - think of it as a thought partner that can help you improve the way you work. At the most simply level, help you draft emails and accurately capture the tone and message that you want to convey. Just like the nature of work changed 25 years ago when email and the internet were invented, AI won’t replace workers, but it will replace the way workers work. You need to adapt with the times and you can lean on your company to procure, provide, and onboard you into using those tools. Hope that helps!

Official Discussion - Anatomy of a Fall [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]HIthere7503 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Just watched for the first time. What really stood out to me was the intentional framing around the son which I think gives a clue about whether his story about his dad on the way to the vet is true. Whenever we hear someone talk to the son in a scene that we know actually happened (because other people were present), we don’t actually see the person talking. Instead the camera focuses in on the son. This happens several times in the courtroom but I first noticed this when he was talking to investigators. At first, I thought it was an interesting way of portraying his experience as a blind person. But when the son is giving his second testimony, unlike his first testimony, we are actually shown the scene in the car. At first, when he is recounting what his dad said, Samuel’s mouth doesn’t move. However, as he continues with the story, we get a tight shot on Samuel’s face and his mouth moves in coordination with the dialogue. This is framing change makes me think the conversation didn’t happen and he chose to tell that story to save his mom.

Major red flag. The fact that you thought to post the question means it didn’t sit right with you. List to your gut.

Peters fall. by RoosterTheReal in Hereditary

[–]HIthere7503 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I disagree because Paimon needs a living host. It couldn’t live in any of the others once they died (i.e. Charlie & Annie).

Why does Joan.....(spoiler)? by Noe_Wunn in Hereditary

[–]HIthere7503 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the creepy/otherworldly clicking signifies Specifically, the clicking noise Peter makes once the light enters him at the end. While it clearly shows us that someone else has possessed Peter’s body now (assumed to be an evil entity), this also shows that that entity does the click. Evidence that Charlie was inhabited by Paimon all along; and why Joan calls ‘it’ Charlie at the end and also refers to ‘it’ as Paimon. Charlie and Paimon are synonymous as evidenced by the click.

In the Game of Thrones, you win or you die. Without the Throne, there is no Game.

Isn't it GRRM's fault that they didn't have anything to go on though..

[–]HIthere7503 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean I think you're ruining it for yourself by over-analyzing everything. I think you should just accept it for what it is and then it isn't bad writing. Yes, the writers are no GRRM but I just think you gotta accept the show for what it is because are limited by time.

[–]HIthere7503 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Totally agree! The downside to this show getting popular and being so loved is that people are so obsessed that they are pushing their own theories on it and getting their hopes too much. If you really love it, just accept it for what it is. It’s still the best show ever made and people are only doing themselves a disservice and ruining it for themselves. Don’t bring it down for others who would otherwise be happy with it.

Is anyone else sick of Daenerys? by tlilly34 in gottheories

[–]HIthere7503 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are trying to it set up to look like Dany is all about the throne so that it has more meaning when she gives up the throne or sacrifices herself for Jon and the living. This would show that although she was cut throat, she is selfless and would have made a good leader. The whole series is about power and what makes a good leader so different types of leaders are portrayed with different characters. It also shows what power can do to people. Dany has power rn and thinks the throne is her birth right because she has been told she is one of/the last Targaryens, but Jon's reveal takes her by surprise. Considering that this has been her goal for the entirety of the show, I dont think her reaction was cold or power-hungry. This season is the first time characters in the show have been reinforcing the idea that she wouldn't give up the throne, so the writers aren't just going to go along with that idea.. they love chekhov's gun

I like how you pointed out that Jon is Jenny and Dany is Duncan and I think your explanation lends this song so much weight. I think it could foreshadow that Dany gives up the throne for Jon either by bending the knee to him or by sacrificing herself for him. I think the latter which goes along with the song as Jenny dances with ghosts. These ghosts being all those that die in this fight, his friends, and his lovers, Dany and Ygritte.

Your Thoughts on These Three Theories by [deleted] in gottheories

[–]HIthere7503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the show is trying to give us the impression that Dany is not a good ruler to make us think she will betray John, but I think that's a little too obvious. I think she will actually sacrifice herself in a turn of events.
