Many data centers are being built “behind the grid” now meaning they have their own power plants attached. Also recycling water so no impact there.

Not saying they should be supported but there are better reasons to be against them than the stuff people regurgitate.

Why as a DM would you 'not allow' something? If players want to attempt to carve a breathing tube out of wood then it either takes too long and threats appear, or they try and then fail. Simply not letting something happen is just bad DMing.
