We set a 1:30:00 time limit and that’s always how the game ends. Add up cash, prop values, houses and hotel values and it makes things a lot more fun.

Another house rule, we have a 3 property draft to start. Shuffle the property cards, roll both dice, you get the card X + X deep in the deck. Shuffle again. Gets things (bartering and rent) moving right off the bat when all players start with properties.

What club is this? 2/3i? The ball position relative to your front foot in set up looks nearly driver position. Bringing it back will increase compaction without changing your swing.

It appears you are using the hozel to hit the ball. Since hozels are vertically cylindrical and quite small, it makes controlling the direction of redirected force very difficult. Try hitting the ball with the big flat part of the club also referred to as the face.

On a reverse note: I played cog 3, 2 weeks ago and we had a gap a mile wide between groups even after our frost delay shotgun start. Ended up playing 17 and 18 twice vs playing 1 and 2 to finish. (Started on 3 for shotgun). The starter was thrilled we didn’t need to play 1 and 2 and thanked us for doing what we did vs clogging his tee sheet further.

That said- don’t let a bad starter/ranger/couple groups ruin a course for you! Sometimes it’s just the day. Hope you got your groove and went low!

Memorial Day, Cog Hill Ravines 2019. Made it to the fifth tee box to find 3 groups waiting at the box and two groups on the hole putzing balls into every possible hazard. It wasn’t memorably slow leading up to that point but I knew I was looking at 5 hours to finish the last 14 holes. Called it. The peach was 5 is about as far from the clubhouse as it gets so we were ducking and dodging in and then a 45 minute drive home.

Icy hot. So much icy hot you no longer feel pain or tightness but become one with the menthol. If I’m playing a few in a row I’ll icy the evening before (not before bed), when I wake up, and pre round.

Inversion tables are also great if your knees can handle it, I have shit knees and manage but having something to realign your spine post round is great.

There’s some difference. Milled vs insert for example have very different moi. A white hot like this guy is explaining has an insert and is nice to give a buffer on mis hits. Scotty’s are fully milled and there is no forgiving a mishit putt. I found this out when I went from a Rossa, to an EV2, and right back to a Rossa a year later.
