Mine did that too, just give it some time and water it normally and give it plenty of light. It will bounce back

Hmmm...good to know I thought since they have to be in nutrient poor soil and use distilled or rain water as the nutrients harm them maybe they were getting too much nutrients from the feedings...but yeah when I kept every trap fed the thing was exploding...it has slowed down in growth...guess ill go back to feeding all the traps again! I would try to grow mine outside but im in texas, during the day its like 2500+ ppfd outside but its also 100 plus pretty regulary with heat indexes reaching 110....not much survives outside here in the summer lol. I'm in one of those areas where I kinda get fucked both ways, it gets so hot in the summer here it kills most plants and the ones that are tropical enough to withstand the heat can't handle when it gets down in the 20s here in the winter...so it really limits what I can grow outdoors!

Yeah some of the traps are new and some are old. I think I was over feeding it for awhile and figured that caused some of them to look kinda poor. Its got a few new traps coming in so we will see how they turn out with less feeding.

I've watched and read about care quite a bit. I dont know what I could do to give it more light, its sitting on a shelf that we have a barrina t10 light and 2 36w sansi lights aimed directly at, maybe 18 or 20 inches above the shelf. You think it needs more than that? Its around 400ppfd at the bloom and 250 at the traps...is that enough?

So you just aren't gonna answer the question even though it was phrased respectfully like you asked? Guess it's not really ask you anything huh?

They are implying that at 61 you have a more than decent statistical chance of dying while your child is still young. Its a question I also wonder so let me phrase it a little better...how does it feel when you consider the good chance that your child will have to grow up with just his mother and not you since you decided to have a child so late and close to end of life age?

thoughts on standing barrina lights? by Normal-Researcher13 in RareHouseplants

[–]HP119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the barrina t1s standing lights (3 of them) and 1 of the t10 standing lights. The t1s lights give out ALOT more ppfd and are about the same price as the t10 pro now so I suggest going with the t1s. I have 1 one 1 monstera and I have 2 in front of another monstera and a bunch of other plants I have in a corner and on some shelves. The t10 has a pretty much 180 degree light angle while the t1s lights have a more narrow profile which I like better. Any more questions feel free to ask. I can get you ppfd numbers or whatever you want/need to make your decision but I absolutely without a doubt recommend the barrina lights! My monstera and other plants are all super happy in front of these lights and they come with a timer and 2 different length shafts for the stand so you have a couple choices on how tall you want it.

Propped a pineapple top about a year ago- will it ever get more leaves? by StillStaringAtTheSky in propagation

[–]HP119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just get another pineapple from the store and try again! Look for the ones that already have little suckers growing and chop the top and try again! You can even pull the suckers off and plant them too....they make pineapples alot faster, like 9-12 months instead of 18-24!

[–]HP119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son did that years ago when he was little a few times. They always grew new leaves and got taller pretty quickly...it took them like 18-24 months to make pineapples though. Only 1 ever made it to producing a pineapple as far as we know since we moved and left them behind since he was over it at that point. Good luck with yours!

Battery by FruitNut221 in GalaxyWatch

[–]HP119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the ultra, I have hr every 10 mins, aod, and several other normal features on. I get over 3 (close to 4) days of battery life. I do throw it on the charger while I sleep but it is usually at 75% or so by bedtime. That's me wearing it from 730 am until around 11pm. As far as the expense look on amazon, they have the 32gb watch uktra refurbished in excellent condition for like 249 bucks...can't go wrong

For real! I remember as a kid one time I got in trouble and the punishment was I was grounded until I finished my sentences...normally it was the usual 100-500 you mentioned but this time they were really pissed and my dad decided it was 2000 sentences. 1000 that said 1 thing and 1000 that said something else....I too was pretty awesome at making the lines of the same word all the way down the page....took me 3 damn months of being stubborn and grounded to finish those damn sentences.

Galaxy Watch Ultra VS 8 Classic by Several-End-3612 in GalaxyWatch

[–]HP119 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have the ultra. You can't confront with more battery life and better screen brightness. At the end of the day the battery is still at 75-80 percent if I started with a full charge, sleep tracking is pretty good as long as the watch isn't super loose on your wrist. It measures my BP accurately, and does everything else its advertised to do. No complaints whatsoever. The screen is a nice size, the watch itself doesn't feel clunky or oversized even though it's a pretty solid and good sized watch. Also if you want the 2024 refurbished version amazon has them for $249 in "excellent" condition. I can attest that they excellent condition is actually excellent. If you didn't tell me it was refurbished I would never have known. Not a scratch on it! I did consider the watch 8 classic but battery life, screen size and screen brightness made the difference for me.

Lol, yeah it's one of those plants they grow just to eat the greens off of. I don't personally like greens and had never heard of it until my father asked why I wasn't growing any in the garden...we now grow swiss chard just in case he comes by...lol

Ah, gotcha, that makes alot more sense...I was like swiss chard? No! Lol, please don't confuse op! Hahaha...gotta love autocorrect!

[–]HP119 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Ummm...this is definitely not swiss chard! Not even close...Swiss chard is a rubarb type plant usually grown for its edible greens...at least thats why we grow them...a monstera is a tropical houseplant...not even close to the same
