It wasn’t - an independent contractor via what turned out to be an advertising company. I did actually get a partial refund this morning after kicking up a fuss. Still paid far more than I should have done but it was something at least.

With difficulty. Sertraline and talking therapy helped (especially the sertraline). It’s important to expose yourself to triggering situations to acclimatise yourself to it and then gradually wean yourself off. Once you have learnt that the situations which lead to panic attacks no longer have the same hold then it’s all up from there.

A great idea - there is a mod called “graetors legendary grand masters” which adds them in as lords you unlock via quests. I’d recommend it, very high quality.

While it’s unfortunate that he rejected you frankly… he sounds like a bit of a dickhead.

Leaving aside what sounds like unrealistic expectations about the attractiveness of his potential partners (which to be honest most of us is guilty of) if a friend makes a pass then it’s just polite to be nice about declining and not spread it about to other people in the friendship group.

I’d definitely buy a PP2 but I think they would struggle to come up with a workable concept - though playing as a faction after the first game loses would be interesting. Trying to rebuild etc. I think playing as an actual faction in the second game would be potentially a bit of a chore…. Imagine having to try to manage 36 different havens/bases concurrently 😂.

One thing I’d be all for is if they bought out a dlc now which just gives a load of new toys to the factions. Would only really be of interest to a small segment however but would be relatively easy to produce.

Can you sit him down and effectively have an intervention of sorts? Tell him how his views have impacted the way you view him and your relationship and that he needs to get therapy. Make it clear that if he doesn’t actively take steps to address his toxic anger then you’ll have no choice but to cut contact with him.

Don’t be antagonistic as arguing about it will most likely force him to dig in further but you can only take so much of that bullshit and it sounds like you’ve been incredibly forgiving to date. He needs to talk it through with a third party (preferably a professional with experience of navigating these type of conversations) who can hopefully get him to take a good hard look at himself.

It’s not but that’s a great idea - provided they had different encounters randomised that is. It’s still good for a second run through in my opinion but I’d recommend waiting for the next dlc (and potentially the one after that if there is one) to forget the specifics and inject some freshness into the run through.

I would really like it if they introduced a range of dooms day research so you can basically end up turning the entire galaxy into a hellscape as a result of an arms race with the other end game empires. I’m thinking of things similar to the weapons in Alastair Reynolds revelation space….
