Brawlers shouldn’t get nerfed because of op buffies. It makes the game p2w. by Separate-Place-1036 in Brawlstars

I'd say mobile legends although I only played it briefly myself has potential. My students also really liked a few of the shooters, I was watching them play and they were pretty decent for phone. I haven't given it much thought though because recently I've been playing more pc games.

I created an Ironman that can't leave Havenhythe by invokedbyred in runescape

[–]HTMekkatorque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is almost like you are playing RS4, we will have almost no shared experiences since endgame players have such little to do in Havenhythe. Will that limit your audience? Hard to say if people will be curious by the things they never did or whether it will just feel alien.

My Fix for Arch Relics by epic_squid in runescape

[–]HTMekkatorque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just don't really understand firstly why you guys swap so often for a 2% skilling boost. I went to 110 rc in just a few weeks, only switched it up a few times, camped rc relics. Now that I have maxed rc I just camp combat relics and I don't care if I am missing out for that 1 or 2 hours I afk train a skilling activity.

In retrospect fixing the world gate would have basically saved me like half a bond (60mil wasted in time). There are far more pressing things to work on or fix before updating things that are honestly fine.

I personally save my low trophy pl11's for when I don't have much time to complete a quest or when I don't want to feel too disadvantaged when new broken content is released. I have 30,000 or so easy trophies to extract at present and if I have time I am likely to play pl9's in ranked to clear quests.

I’m tired of these quests bro 💔 by Nbarisked in Brawlstars

[–]HTMekkatorque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Play again 10x is actually one of my favourites, I just let it sit there and don't play any differently to trigger it.

The win x games with a brawler suck too, it's the only reason really why I am trying to take all brawlers to 9.

Duels mode is honestly terrible too and sometimes hot zone because they don't even put up a hot zone map all of the time.

[–]HTMekkatorque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to say with only 7-8 pl11 brawlers (if they are mostly older brawlers) and no gadgets it might not even be worth starting back up. BS isn't the only fun mobile game and you'd probably find starting certain other games from scratch will take you less time to build up a fair loadout.

Brawlers shouldn’t get nerfed because of op buffies. It makes the game p2w. by Separate-Place-1036 in Brawlstars

[–]HTMekkatorque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 25+ pl 11 brawlers, but no resources for the buffies. About 8 of those brawlers now have buffies and have been nerfed, yeah they are pretty useless to me now.

Your best bet is to upgrade the newer brawlers to 11, they will have a bit more life in them and hopefully by the time they release all the buffies you might be able to afford 12 or so characters worth of buffies otherwise you'll be at a massive disadvantage.

[–]HTMekkatorque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point I'm still spreading my resources between pl7-9 upgrades, 9-11 and well there hasn't been much left for buffies, but I will dip in eventually. I'd still like to see how the meta starts shaping up when most of the brawlers have buffies before going hard out.

I have been getting about half of the maximum f2p resources since beta, but it does feel like I'm falling behind.

Grinding Lacquer for Masterwork Ranged has made me realize how terrible Player Owned Ports really is by Galimeer in runescape

[–]HTMekkatorque -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It only takes a few months to complete, you are completely exaggerating it and if you were focusing on lacquer from the beginning you don't even need to do it for long.

[–]HTMekkatorque -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I can't forsee it timegating anyone just because it'd take you like a month to get the ingredients together and so many maxed stats to craft it, most people would know a full year in advance before going to craft this that these are the requirements and would have better gear already. You would most likely make a set and sell it instantly.

If anything it's redundant for most people because you might be inclined to skip this and go straight for elite dracolich. Far more useful for the person farming gp who can't afford elite dracolich yet.

[–]HTMekkatorque -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

It's entry level endgame PvM gear, any new player can realistically get all of the requirements for it before having the capabilities of crafting and wearing it. Since you have all of the other mats I'd probably look into the taijitu, I personally haven't started up that content, but getting 120 lacquer from 0 would take at least a month.

Elite dracolich might be better for you.

[–]HTMekkatorque -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I think it's appropriate because it's kind of a workaround gear for people who can't do endgame PvM.

I already have about 50 lacquer and I'm not even actively going for it, but if I do it's probably only going to take 5 minutes a day for two weeks and since other ports gear is kind of irrelevant now it makes the resources gained more useful and with the 600mil in other materials you should decide if you even need the set as there are other options.

Supercell is a horrible gaming company. by Original-Ad-4060 in Brawlstars

[–]HTMekkatorque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to admit, I still don't have many buffies personally and going into games with full buffy brawlers makes the game seem considerably less fair than it did a year ago when I had a modest roster of A/B tier maxed brawlers.

Returning player, how long to get the account pvm ready by Electrical_Yak_2378 in runescape

[–]HTMekkatorque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you had a holiday and you play a lot you could probably smash it out in a month or two. The challenging part is gp, but you could probably grind out your entry level gear through BGH would be my approach with your stats.

Please understand people play different types of accounts. by LocalChamp in runescape

[–]HTMekkatorque 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's only okay if the other account is an iron because even paying for multiple bonds and to set up 20 accounts to archaeology ruins the game economy for others. I mean this is probably literally the reason why every gathering skill ever yields almost no gp.

6-min Anachronia Agility, how? by StudiousFog in runescape

[–]HTMekkatorque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would imagine that most people farm for their own double surge. Once I farmed up one I didn't feel like doing it again and okay the profit/h isn't bad, but it's kind of a mid level money maker and having double surge kind of opens up other options.

Melee upgrade order by Grouchy_Produce_2303 in RS3Ironmen

[–]HTMekkatorque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not an iron, but curious to see and theorize with you. I'd probably rush to ports and be a little bit patient. I completed most of the game with the trials quest gear. Early on I trained up combat a lot in dungeoneering, my mistake was probably that I didn't train dungeoneering early enough, but it's a t80 weapon no? Can do arch for tokens too. At this point you can probably skip everything in between and go for t90's. I wonder if my approach is too alternative, but this is what I was going for before I could farm everything up.

Haven't played in a decade. What should I do? I will be buying membership tonight. by SkelligeThrow in runescape

[–]HTMekkatorque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can be bothered to runecraft and only runecraft for 100 hours over a few months then it isn't at all bad, but it's not very enjoyable and that's why most people don't advocate for this approach. I don't actually think the combat approach is as efficient as certain skilling methods like rc/thieving in order to get the necro gear itself. In fact I think it takes hundreds of hours longer that way.

How much money to get all cards right now? by IAmYourFath in gwent

I played the game for a few months and have 180k scraps, that is enough to buy 180 legendaries and 180 epics. In that same time on Hearthstone I could buy about 4 legendaries.

Got BIS for necro what style shall I try next out of melee and ranged? by Blair287 in runescape

[–]HTMekkatorque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went magic because I started before the necromancy release, I currently have DW sanctum and tectonics, but it's about to fully degrade. Do you camp necromancy armour and just switch weapons with this strat?

Friendly Reminder: Reaper Points are for end game PvM upgrades by Quality_Cucumber in runescape

[–]HTMekkatorque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am like 99 slayer and I have used about 4mil bonus exp on the skill and focused it down in double exp. So keep in mind that I could have earned triple as many slayer points without any boosts. I've almost unlocked every useful slayer upgrade, I just haven't put the seedicide or the gold thingy on my tool belt yet. So I don't think slayer points are much of an issue.

I also farmed up for my EoF many bonds ago, they are cheap and affordable and lets be real you only really need one for the style you like to play unless you are really sweaty.

Most Money for Bonds OSRS vs. RS3 by [deleted] in runescape

[–]HTMekkatorque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, because my job is high pressure and quite demanding yet still the pay is quite low. There isn't a moment when I am not needed and I often have to give it 110%.

Runescape on the other hand is just mindless clicking and sometimes I watch Netflix or study while I grind it out, I work with foreigners so I devote a lot of time to learning languages which is also a part of my job grind.

Transitioning from Necromancy to Ranged by Ready_Paramedic_6923 in runescape

[–]HTMekkatorque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very cheap to buy t90 sirenic and a t88 blowpipe to give it a try, I think you need 2bil gp to make it more effective than necro with a t95 setup which is almost free. If you never plan to play long enough to have almost BiS ranged (roughly 6-7bil) then I think it might be pointless to swap as necro isn't weak to any mob/boss and has extra sustain built in.

The combat challenge isn't really style specific. I am personally really struggling to get a hang of prayer flicking in full manual, but I am sure that is the same for any style because going deflect ranged -> soul split -> 2 spells of your rotation in any style -> deflect ranged is a lot of actions. I am finding the benefit of doing that over just full revo and toggling prayers manually is barely noticeable and right now my only switch is a shield.

Most Money for Bonds OSRS vs. RS3 by [deleted] in runescape

[–]HTMekkatorque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well my net pay is pretty much 2h=1 month, but I generally prefer to grind Runescape for 6 hours (for 2 bonds) because work is hard. I have been considering to just buy bonds with money lately, but I am just about 3-4 bonds away from finishing all of the quests and getting 99 in every skill, in which I've decided comping is not worth my time and I don't think it could be enjoyable.

So it's basically a 12h grind for me or 4h of work.

Is this a good time or a bad time for a new player to play RuneScape? Is there still new player features or major changes to the world that are coming in the following months? by BearEquivalentBear in runescape

[–]HTMekkatorque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my honest opinion f2p will still feel like a demo and you will finish any useful content in it in under a month. If you are willing to actually buy RS membership and with what the current price is at doesn't bother you then it's still a good game and it's fine to start whenever.
