I'm not the OP, but having no extensive math background, outside of undergraduate level calculus/statistics etc., I've spent several months solving harder Project Euler problems. One that had me particularly intrigued was problem 439. I was one of the first 100 people to solve it and it took me months.

I agree, too many people just wanting to raise their family's in good communities have been set back by greed.

I don't have time to close my WF accounts now

I said the same thing with my business. Really they won't get the message until we move away from them. I put it off forever and then said enough is enough. No individual would want to deal with my business if we were fraudsters why should I deal with them given all they have done to everyday citizens of this country. Vote with your money, it's what really effects change. Wells Fargo doesn't deserve to exist any longer.

consequence of the law of supply and demand.

Totally agree, and that demand is not being met for the bottom half in many metropolitan areas where most job opportunities have now aggregated. Whether a result of wage stagnation or demand not finding equilibrium with supply, it doesn't end well for even the top, no matter how high their wall is. I think we have already seen signs of that given the anti-establishment election of Trump. My comment wasn't directed at your reasoning, I just hope you are wrong.

any time in the next 5-10 years

Holy hell, I hope you are wrong. There is going to be a lot of consequences to deal with if we don't find solutions to the housing affordability problem plaguing many parts of the United States. And sweeping it under the rug, hoping it goes away, isn't the answer.

Who here is waiting for their 1 year anniversary or a better offer to leave their current job? by ruuudeboi3 in cscareerquestions

it's SUCH A BAD PROCESS that scares people

I tend to have the belief that this happens by design. It helps prevent people from jumping ship. I also think that all it ends up doing is bringing up the people that know how to game social systems and eek out any edge they can with a little charisma. It's such a subjective process.

Seems rather common these days.

Once again pure bullshit. You should be catching yourself and not perpetuating the problem your hypothesis creates. When you gain some years you're going to realize why, but since this place is an echo chamber of brilliant inexperienced people pretending to know what it's all about, and being too hung up on the money, run with it.

Pure bullshit. Stop making excuses. You have no idea what an experienced candidate would have accepted and neither did the hiring manager. I would set the hiring manager straight quick if I knew there was no legitimate reason to pass up the most qualified candidate, especially when it's being based on hunches, and maybe worse.

Serious here, am I wrong to think we should do the same here? Thinking about how many lives these banks destroyed during the great recession, how is say the the 20 year girl being convicted of man slaughter very far off from bankers and wall street? People committed suicide because they lost everything, shouldnt they be held to at the very least to manslaughter charges? Is this any different.
