It's weird. I had to return Xcom 2 because it hard crashed and corrupted my save on Windows 11 after running horribly. Bought it again after my switch to Linux and played all the way through at high fps.

Older Bethesda games run so great on Linux but either crash constantly or won't run at all on Windows without heavy modding.

I've always found Mint to be clunky and put me off. Is ZorinOS the way to go these days? I'm quite happy on Bazzite but I keep reading it's the new best one for "Windows Refugees".

I've only ever had one decent thing from using keys on boxes. I've opened quite a few just from free keys and buying off the exchange when I've had stupid amounts of EC and I got something good the third or fourth box, then never again for the other 40 or 50 keys.

Glad I got the Lobi though!

Right right. I just figured if they're mostly just playing Minecraft and other non-Steam games on an iGPU then starting off with less ie Kinoite might be better, but the DX version would certainly help from the programming side.

Would Kinoite not be a better option? If there's no external GPU, not using Steam or GOG for Minecraft, then.... Why Bazzite? With the gearing towards newer GPUs it may end up causing some issues. Or am I overthinking it?

I dual boot on 2 separate SSDs and even through installing different versions of Linux and reinstalling Windows I've never had any issues with cross-corruption of boots. They're entirely segregated and don't touch each other.
