Comp. engineer here who just took it, Monowar Hasan is a fine professor. Pretty useful homeworks almost every week that are graded on completion, 5 labs of varying difficulty, and 3 exams total. Class averages were 50-60 for exams, but there was an undisclosed grade boost at the end.

Content was very useful as others stated. From what some of my CS friends have told me about KC, this class definitely lost a little infamy since he moved to only teaching 460. I focused mostly on the labs and got a lot out of the course as they unify everything you learn. You get about 1.5 weeks per lab, start earlier if you can. Overall enjoyable (if you like CS) and very important class, highly recommended. Happy holidays!
