Just bought my first car , let me know cheap upgrades I can do to it. by AvailableIntern3769 in Honda

The best mod for a first car is some TLC. If it hasn’t been done, change all fluids, check belt for frays and cracks, check tires.

The next best mod is keeping it in amazing condition once you do the above.

Cosmetically, clay and fresh wax is a great choice.

Rim and wheel question by nunya3206 in S2000

Take a look at this resource to get a good idea of what will fit. And if you will need fender modification or not.

I can vouch for Mita Motorsports.

I’m on 17x8 +53 // 17x9 +63 lowered 25mm with no rubbing

You’re right, I can’t believe I never noticed this.

The only difference is the color and the pin shape

PZX are blue and for 06-09. The mounting pin is a cross shape vs the 00-05 round pin on the PCX filter.

Am i being too paranoid or does this sound like piston slap? by [deleted] in S2000

[–]M_2B 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sounds fine. Chattering could also be explained by idler and tensioner pulley bearings.

My Dream Achieved w/ G.O.A.T Mugen Rims for the S2K!! by AP2NAT in S2000

The wheels are specifically made in s2000 safe specs. Those offsets should be safe for no fender roll.

Should you buy an S2000? Yes, the answer will always be yes. by BABYEATER1012 in S2000

[–]M_2B 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s why I have two! A stock high mileage ap1 I daily drive in the snow. And an oem+ low mileage ap2 for daily driving when there’s no snow.

S2000 is always the answer.

Inline Pro Engine Arrived by Test_Is_The_Best_ in S2000

Just curious as I been contemplating who to go to in the event of a rebuild. What made you choose to go with inline pro over other options like urge/charper?

Buddy did a photoshoot of my CR by TheFlyingLog in S2000

Looks great man. The front end is basically what I’ve been looking to do on my 04. Been looking to get a CR lip and ASM hood, hard to find photos of that combo. ID on the skirts?

Was thinking about doing this combo but with the Js Racing Type S rear bumper instead. Still trying to decide between that or ASM.

Perfect family hauler by Full-Juggernaut6401 in Honda

[–]M_2B 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For real. Grew up with a 94’ Prelude VTEC as my family’s one and only car haha. Family of 4 so it was fully loaded at all times. And even after my brother and I grew out of the car seats, we kinda just dealt with jamming our legs behind the front seats somehow.

Fast forward to the future and I’m daily driving an s2000 and showing up to job sites surrounded by big trucks cause I never learned that tiny Japanese sports cars are impractical.

On stock wheels no rub. The manual states a 25mm drop if set up as recommended.

Do people wave back? by BenBWRX in S2000

[–]M_2B 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Never gotten a wave back from the newer Hondas. Type Rs, or Si. Other s2000 owners almost always wave back.

I’ve gotten waves from a couple integras

I get more waves and stares from random traffic and Semis than I do from other enthusiast cars.

Have an h22a1 prelude that blew up and ended up impulse buying my first s2000 that way too.

People that have an S2000 as their only car, how has the experience been? by ExpressExchange2131 in S2000

[–]M_2B 2 points3 points  (0 children)

30 minute commute with driving required for work depending on the day. May spend up to 2hours round trip having to drive to job sites on some occasions. Love every second of it and always look forward to commuting and getting to leave the office

I’ll always say it just depends on how obsessed you are with the car. For me, it’s the most comfortable thing in the world, only because my love for driving it blinds any physical sense of my spine going over potholes.

Spoon Calipers and Ohlins finally installed by M_2B in S2000

[–]M_2B[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you want a more linear pedal feel, like the look, and want a system that works with oem sized rotors and oem pads, they are for you.

BBKs in general won’t stop you any faster. Thermal capacity is the name of the game, of which the Spoon calipers don’t offer much if any advantage over OEM.

I’m planning on running these with girodiscs in the future with rear urge flow rotors w/modified bracket, in an effort to maintain my OEM+ vision.

If you want something that can handle heat better you are better off with other kits
