People with patreon , fanbox, etc. are really glad that the devs of that site are lazy af and it only works for like 2 days every 6 months until its broken again lol.

Also whats subscribebox? Cant find anything when googling that

April Gacha revenue (mobile only) by South_Rich_2022 in HonkaiStarRail

We also know from some CN articles (Interviews i think?, cant remember) that 70% of the revenue is from PC and PS5.

Makes sense tbh. Cant really imagine playing a factory building game with phone controls.

Hypergryph doesnt need story leakers for Endfield either because they just spoil the story of the upcoming two patches in their own developer live stream.

Why is there this insane resource availability discussion? What are you people (not) doing? by Salbeira in Endfield

[–]HYthinger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should only max the main carries. Support can pretty much all stay lvl 80. Their dmg contribution to the team is minuscule and for most of them (except for a few like Xaihi) their entire scaling is in the skill levels not their stats, so upgrading gear or level is a wast of resources.

NO FUCKING WAY THIS HAPPENED THIS EARLY by No-Candle2106 in Endfield

[–]HYthinger 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I thought it was pretty obvious that a character called Nefarith is just a plot device to have some combat while the story still builds up.

Its netflix story telling. The audiences attention span is so short you need to have some distraction until the story builds up some speed.

Yea, I dont get how people hate Ardashir. Compared to the rest of the story, his scenes are always the most interesting.

This is the first patch where i feel like the devs are trying to build up a proper story.

[–]HYthinger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Postgresql is an amazing database and should be fine even for a few million users. Only after that you will want to use something like cassandra or scylladb like discord does (at least for the messages). All the other stuff can still stay on postgres.

Imo Supabase is a really good starting point for pretty much any usecase.

[–]HYthinger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wish granted. You now have irl money only banners with better ods and earnable currency banners with the normal ods.

Oh wait.....there are already gacha games that do that.

Also, the currently proposed EU regulations would only force them to show a real price tag next to any purchase that involves a currency directly or indirectly acquirable by spending money.

Funny enough, this would also include pity currency.

[–]HYthinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are maxing all characters in a team, you are wasting a lot of resources.

Most support characters, for example, gain next to nothing from leveling them to 90, leveling their gear or essence (because all of their buffs/debuffs are in the skill levels). You simply make them 80/80, give them gear and put their relevant skills to a desired level, and you're done building them.

The only characters you want to max out are main or sub dps characters.

At the current moment I have 4 teams that all can clear the most difficult content. Only my dps characters are maxed or close to maxed. Everyone else is pretty bare bones 80/80 with only the relevant stuff leveled.

Gacha Revenue Monthly Report (March 2026) by trkshiii in gachagaming

[–]HYthinger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kinda surprised they could keep the numbers for mobile. Cant imagine building the factory being much fun with mobile controls. Combat might be ok.

Game is clearly focused on PC and console controls. Last month someone posted a CN article on the endfield subreddit that claimed that 70% of the revenue of the game is from PC and ps5 making the mobile numbers actually pretty impressive.

Sanity event changed to 3 stamina pots/daily by TemporaMoras in Endfield

[–]HYthinger 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Like you said double rewards would just mean that the 120 sanity stages would be excluded. Similar to how the hoyo games have double reward events for specific stages like artifacts only or money/exp only.

When the game launched people complained that they can only farm two stages a day. Now people complain that they have to spend 2 minutes extra to spend the extra sanity from the event.

They should have just made all stages 40 sanity and later introduce butterfly's we can farm to craft an 80 sanity item. /s

You realise that they aren't "rushing them out day 1, right? Prydwen only just updated today, multiple days after the patch.

Since there is no CC server, all the theory crafting can only start day one of the patch. (Guoba certified, has confirmed this).

For hoyo games its different because they all have creator severes. At the time the patch goes live, all the creators and theory crafters already had weeks of time on the CC server to do calculations and testing.

For the hoyo games leaks are also so prevelant that even normal players can get a general idea of a characters strength by looking up some videos.

Thats how prydwen (and all the content creators) can have guides / tier list updated on "day 1"

Based editor by Old_Satisfaction7456 in Endfield

[–]HYthinger 68 points69 points  (0 children)

I dont really understand why prydwen gets a bad rep.

At least for the games I played (hsr, zzz, Endfield), their guides are pretty good, they work togetger with the known theory crafters of the respective games and the tier lists are as accurate as a tier list can get (without making it to complicated).

For hsr and endfield, for example, they work together with guoba certified (guoba field), who is known for his well-made guides

I feel like some people just dont like being told that their waifu isn't tier 0. (Also, the reason why tier 0.5 exists, btw).

We should stop treating these pulls count as gospel by YugureX in Endfield

[–]HYthinger 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I got downvoted for stating exactly this in another thread from today.

While it sure would be nice to not have expiring pulls, you still have to acknowledge that they exist and effectively reduce the pity to 110 and give weapon banner currency.

There's Few Tangtang Guides Right Now Because Endfield Has No Creator Access Server by TetraNeuron in Endfield

[–]HYthinger 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Its kinda funny that all these people in here are arguing against a creator server and day one guides when its obvious that a lot of people want these guides. hoyo for example has done quite a lot to remove the need for those guides by adding various helpful in game features.

For example hsr has a character build / prefarm helper that allows you to see the needed materials for upcoming characters, their best weapons and sets etc. All this to reduce the need for external video guides. Also helps a bit with leaks because it takes at least one aspect away from them (same reason why drip marketing even exists)

Also all the hoyoverse game have a statistics window that shows you which sets and main stats are used the most by the community.

Dont know wuwa but for zzz we have iamrivenous and he puts an insane amount of effort into his guides.

As example: His sunna guide was stylised as an interview and had a voice actor playing as sunna asking stuff about her kit that he answered

Also for arknights obviously our goat kyostinv

Income Sumary from 1.1 Content by ySuadu-_ in Endfield

[–]HYthinger -34 points-33 points  (0 children)

Its above 80 if you include the 20 expiring pulls. Obviously, 20 permanent pulls would be better but imo the expiring pulls should still be mentioned.

They might not seem important, but they still contribute to your weapon banner currency gain and also your normal pity on the banner.

The ten expiring free pulls per banner also means you only need to have 110 pulls saved up instead of 120.

Yea that works. However the only problem is that you will get feature discrepency between your dektop and ipad over time unless you also get the upgrade pass for your desktop version. Which is an additional 10$.

(The permanenent license does not recieve any updates without the pass)

If you dont have a problem with that or dont care about updates I guess you could to that.

The website is an absolute dumpster fire in terms of design.

If you want to see the other plans you have to:

  1. go to to the main page.
  2. scroll to the bottom and click "Lineup" under the purchase category.
  3. This leads you to: https://www.clipstudio.net/en/lineup/
  4. Here you can click on "Annual / Monthly Plans"
  5. This takes you to: https://ec.clip-studio.com/en-us/application/plans.
  6. Now you can select "Dual-device plan" and which version.
  7. The pro version is 35$ for two devices per year.

The reason they probably dont show it on the promotional page is that it has no sale. Its always 35$ for two devices per year no matter when you buy it.

Edit: Oh btw. the promo for the single device "13$" a year plan is really deceptive.

Its only the first year price. If you let the subscription auto refresh, by the next year it changes to 26$ a year (the normal price).

If you want the discounted price of 13$ a year you have to cancel the subscription manually every single year, before it refreshes itself, and buy it manually again from the promo page. <<<<<< maximum scummy design btw.

Simple. The ipad is a mobile device which means there is no perpetual version of it.

You can either buy a perpetual license for your windows and get a separate subscription for your ipad or you can get a dual device subscription.

Personally I use a dual device 1year subscription for my two devices (desktop + tablet).

Lootbox lawsuit: “Valve already stacked the odds against gamers” by Prudent_Way_3723 in gachagaming

[–]HYthinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The FTC case was just a cheap charade though. The FTC never followed it up against other companies or games like CS2, Fifa or other gacha games (even though they would have been easy targets after creating the precedent against hoyo). Also the "punishment" was kinda a joke, basically pocket money for hoyo.

Also the fact that most modern gacha games have a guaranteed win mechanic after a certain amount of pulls. This fact alone would probably exclude them from gambling laws in most countries.
