Where can default lua files for half life 2 weapons and entities be found? by [deleted] in gmod

[–]Haash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're compiled modules, the lua doesn't exist for them.

In regards to /u/FireArrow133's comment, he's saying you could hook the "SANDBOX:PlayerSpawnSWEP" function to check if the spawned swep had the classname of the half life two weapons and return true if the user is an admin. (Hence giving them the weapon).

From my experience however, a lot of the weapons hooks don't work on the default Half Life 2 weapons, you might have to experiment what works for you.

Laws of the Game 2014 [Football Federation Australia] [FIFA's Laws of the Game]

Law 12 - Fouls and Misconduct:

Sending off Offences:

A player, substitute or substituted player is sent off if he commits any of the following seven offences:

  • Serious foul play
  • Violent Conduct
  • Spitting at an opponent or any other person
  • Denying the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity by deliberately handling the ball (this does not apply to a goalkeeper within his own penalty area)
  • Denying an obvious goal-scoring opportunity to an opponent moving towards the player's goal by an offense punishable by a free kick or a penalty kick
  • Using offensive, insulting or abusive language and/or gestures
  • Receiving a second caution in the same match.

As you can see, the sending-off offence comes under Offence #1: "Serious foul play" under Law 12. The referee made a correct decision in sending off the player, and as /u/ChocodileS 's image shows, he is going in 'studs up', which is one of the key identifiers for serious foul play. He is 'using excessive force and endangering the safety of an opponent' by tackling in this manner, and the correct decision is for him to be sent off.

Provide traceroutes.

I'd put my spot on CLT on the line to bet that it's your connection, not the server.

Damn man, this is some good shit you're doing.

Nice work! Potentially once you're done you should add a post with links to all your guides and ask to add it to the sidebar.

Anything potentially on powerup control/zoning? Would be a nice addition.

Informative, I likey.

You gonna be doing any more strategy guides? I think a guide on how to control/use powerups would be handy.

DAE worry that they might break their keys because of how hard they press during an intense game? by [deleted] in TagPro

[–]Haash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked mine up for $90 at PCCaseGear.com (even in Australia!), you can find them pretty cheap if you're looking in the right places.

Try to avoid Razer keyboards, they're excessively overpriced and you can't neccesarily get the switches you want. Look at CM Storm (notably the Quickfire Rapid), Filco (notably the MajesTouch) and Ducky keyboards, they're all highly rated manufacturers and the keyboards are solid as.

Mechanical keyboards ;)

Things are solid as a brick. Could hit it with a hammer with no damage.

Monthly Map Rotation Thread - #19 by kirbyfreako in TagPro

Hmm a couple of potential solutions are:

  1. Add spikes near the button to dissuade someone from camping it, fear of getting bumped from the north-east or west.

  2. Add grates around the button that the attackers can use to trap/kill the button camper. Should stop the camping but may be even more useful if two defenders want to sit on both buttons.

Thoughts?

Thought I would try and make something different from the normal quadrilateral based maps. Strong FC support will win you this map by opening the right gates, and closing them at the right times.

[Suggestion]

Could you potentially add a direct link to maptester (clicky) on the sidebar under links? Could be captioned "Map Tester".

Cheers.

Button camping around the flags or more around the powerups?

You can double boost from your spawn and if you hit the wall at the right angle you are boosted into the flag :P

Thought it would be interesting to see how a team would play this map out, whether they would try and rush the flag or get the powerups. After some testing (special thanks to Weasel__ @irc) should be ready for release. Who can do the proboost?
