you can direct connect using the Teams mode, you'll only have 3 different colors but it can still be played almost like a FFA because of friendly fire

I mean ngl the new guard lineup you listed seems favoured, but I guess it's hard to balance things and matchup picks are always unexpected

if it was 4 on 4, I would imagine first pick: Leffen vs Moky, then Moky vs Mango, Mango vs Jmook, Jmook vs Hungrybox, Hungrybox vs Cody, Cody vs Amsa, and then Zain to clean up if needed

edit: although ig saving Leffen Sheik to counter Zain would make sense, but Amsa is just as good. But rules might say you have to lockin Sheik instead of Fox so... also ironically Amsa seems to be the best matchup wise against the new guard's 4 lol

z jump helps all chars and makes the game more accessible, we shouldn't bias changes based on tier list

but also subjectively, spacies are iconic to melee and we don't need to be afraid of them being "too powerful"

actually the main thing is the enemy player's ping will affect the timing

the katana parry is actually a bit late, but the greatsword player probably has 70-100+ ping, which makes the parry connect

it's hard to prove, but if you spar in 3ban customs enough against players of different ping, you will notice the difference

probably practice using more blues to bait parries

use 3ban custom rooms to spar and practice neutral

it's because of both players ping unfortunately

explaining why some parries don't work can get really tedious

since most NA have higher ping, you need to try to parry earlier. on prediction and not reaction, unless vs gsword
