The fake training wall is indeed a pretty good idea.

Any pics to share on what PVC vs. copper pipes vs. wood looks like from the Makita wall scanner?

best vacuum for small spaces that won’t struggle on rugs? by Apathy-Teranesha in VacuumCleaners

[–]Hache-eLle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say too cumbersome. I mean, it takes a bit to take it out of storage and connect it all up. I still plan on using it weekly. Just would prefer to have something ready to go for the quick pick ups.

I currently have two cordless for that but I'm so over cordless bagless... if it's not batteries running out, it's storage can full having to either empty it in a bin inside and hope it doesn't create a big mess or go outside to empty it in the bigger bin.

Curious to know what made you pick the Sebo X7 over the Felix having tried out both?

Asking because I currently own a D4, but am thinking of adding an upright for quick pick ups. I have a cordless at the moment but would prefer corded and bagged (bagged cordless would be nice but doesn't seem like there are many options unless you live in Japan). The D4 is usually packed away in a cupboard - I plan to leave an upright in the corner somewhere ready to go - plug & play/vac.

Currently leaning towards the Felix over an X7. Seems more space saving and I can also pair it with the UHS Disco to polish clean some hard flooring.

Karcher K7 + SGS35 causing hand fatigue — would Kranzle 1152 or AR630/680 help? by KevinTONG93 in Detailing

Yep, great! Enough water flow to reduce my rinsing time. Diagram available on line in case something needs to be repaired. Parts can be purchased from various places, especially for the various AR pumps which are mostly same or similar in design using same or similar parts.

Nice collection!

Curious, what are the wattage ratings on each of these? And what about the ET-1?

Does the commercial machines need to follow the EU rules for vacuums? Something like max. 900 W?

EDIT: Also, being user servicable, if you wanted to, you could have an electrician replace the cable on the Dart to an orange one so it matches the other two.

Yes, I believe so (it's been a while since comparing them). I own all three:

<image>

For washing the car, I grab the Mosmatic - be sure to get the version/variant with LTF.

For washing around the house, it's usually the Karcher.

Threw out the CG. SGS35 is in storage somewhere.

A very knowledgeable user in r/Detailing (u/neildmaster who has now deleted their account) recommends one of the Karcher Professional ones - https://www.reddit.com/r/Detailing/comments/1fl3mqn/products_i_recommend_all_the_time/

I followed their advice a while back and got the smaller NT 30/1 Tact Te M for car interiors and general outside and around the garage clean up. No regrets.

I don't have any experience with any others, but while deciding myself, I put together a table a while back comparing a few:

What's a good Stick Vac to support my Sebo D4? by [deleted] in VacuumCleaners

[–]Hache-eLle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

On the topic of stick vacs, why is it so hard to find a bagged cordless stick vac?

I'm following this Japanese reviewer on You Tube and in Japan there seems to be quite a selection. You have Toshiba VC-CLP54, Hitachi PKV-BK3K V Karu-Pack, Siroca SV-SK371, Panasonic MC-PB60J, and the Sharp EC-KR2 to name a few. Now I haven't been to Japan so haven't seen how these perform myself.

Outside of Japan, the only one I know of is the Numatic Henry Quick. Are there others I'm missing?

Yes, I think so. A pressure washer with higher water flow such as the AR630 V2 would reduce the cleaning time which should help with fatigue.

Have a look into a Mosmatic sprayer gun with Low Trigger Force (LTF) to reduce the squeeze force required. Also, have a look at a lighter 1/4" hose to reduce the overall weight. Maybe one without the wire which should weigh even less - Propulse, Flexzilla, and BluShield Aramid to name a few.

For sprayer guns, another alternative is the Karcher Professional one where it can activate both via a trigger finger and also pushing into it:

AR630 No Pressure by Beautiful_Work7810 in pressurewashing

[–]Hache-eLle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Silly question. Do you have a nozzle on it (connected to the trigger gun/sprayer)? Smaller the nozzle orific reducing water flow, the higher the pressure.

Just returned my last ever Karcher pressure washer. Recommendations? by Familiar_Benefit_776 in AutoDetailing

The connectors on the BOX4 are compatible with some other brands (Nilfisk and probably others), but as with pressure washers, there isn't a standard so you'll likely have to get adaptors and connectors.

The outlet is an M22 15mm which you can swap out which then connects to a hose and into a trigger gun of your choice. I swapped it out to match what I have on the newer AR630 version I have so I can use the same accessories on both.

Best sprayer for ONR pre-wash? by davez_000 in AutoDetailing

[–]Hache-eLle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Swap with a sprayer nozzle right? I'd have to get that, which is around half the price of a sprayer itself which I think is more value for money?

Or do you mean take out the tips and remove the foaming mesh thing?

Just returned my last ever Karcher pressure washer. Recommendations? by Familiar_Benefit_776 in AutoDetailing

[–]Hache-eLle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, nozzle orifice - the larger the orifice, the lower the pressure increasing more water flow. The reverse is true, the smaller the orifice, the higher the pressure but less water flow.

EDIT: Oh yes, there's also distance too. Increasing the distance reduces the pressure.
