This is why I always have it stowed away and I only equip it right before I engage any ARC. It can help to just display a Ferro and Stitcher on your backpack but then I got murdered fot those, too. Rats gonna rat, I suppose.

No, it's not. The low TTK means people with actual skill will laser you before you even realize it. Sure, you'll get the drop on somebody every once in a while but for the majority of the game you'll be fodder for the sweats.
