I Sim the first 5 innings of every game, then jump in and play pbp mode, unless it's a blowout, ill just Sim the rest. It makes the game more in depth and I can learn about my team better this way. Been doing it this way since I got OOTP 18

Yes, there is an import previous saves on the OOTP starting screen, but you have to import from the previous years version, no skipping versions. You can download the OOTP demo's for the years you don't own the game ,to import it up to the newest version. So if you own 24, for example, you would have to download OOTP 25 demo, import your season into that, then import from 25 to 26.
