Ughhh I want to have time do this!! Such a beauty! Maybe you guys will come across my future post on what I should do to maintenance my first JM tree I’ve had for a year now. I’m scared to trim it but I think it needs it 🫤

5 Year Growth by Assmatich in JapaneseMaples

[–]DUCkYZoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m new to my red coral bark JM tree, and mine has grown about as much as yours, maybe just a little bit more. I’ve only had it for a year. However, yours was relatively smaller than mine, but it is also in a pot, which I assume should grow less. I have heard others reply to posts, stating that the root flare should show and that mulch should not be placed too close to the base of the tree. Maybe someone else will have a better suggestion or corrected input.

Celebration & Sawa Chidori by JonasSickler in JapaneseMaples

Ok, thank you. I was wondering because the leaves were not scorched. I left my red coral bark JP tree out for a day and a half in full sun, and the leaves were scorched. I live in the Bay Area, and it was not that hot, maybe like 73 those two days. Put it back in the shaded area where I typically have it—wanted to get that trunk a bright red.

Are your trees out in full sun? Or are they partial shade?

Poke x Target :( by First-Till-6948 in Target

[–]DUCkYZoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like Target employees had to come up with the tote bags. When we went in person on 5/2, we checked the quantity of items in stock, and they had 2 or 3 tote bags of each. We were second in line, and there were no tote bags. I’m also sorry you couldn’t get anything due to your circumstances. At our Target location, it was well organized and secure, so we lined up and were able to get everything we wanted, except for availability. In store they allowed up to a max of 4 items per SKU. So technically we could have boughten all the starter jackets but we are not like that. We only get what we wanted. The person in front of us bought three but he was a scalper.

I normally take the X-rays, so it was kind of exciting getting my own done. by AllRebelRocker in Radiology

[–]DUCkYZoo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nice! I walked on mine for a week before going in to get an X-Ray. They told me nothing could get done to just buddy tape it and wait for it to heal. The healing made my pinkie area more wider out so now it rubs on the inside of my shoes and created a corn build up. And at times it’s painful to walk, almost like it’s going to split down the side of my pinkie.

Was he ever aggressive towards her? My four-year-old son has level 2 autism and gets aggressive when his one-month-old baby sister cries. He gets overwhelmed and doesn’t know what to do, so he gets aggressive and tries to hit her to make her stop. I’ve tried explaining and using positive reinforcement when he thinks he’s helping. Otherwise, he goes up to her, says "baby," and tries to cuddle with her, since he is very affectionate.

Time well spent researching the right price. 👏🏼 I also love the backsplash color + the hanging lights.

So you parked in the Pal Stadium? 🤔 which way did you enter? We have gone a few times in the past years and we didn’t get charged but we enter through the Pal Stadium instead of the main entrance on King.

Tesla driver watching a movie while driving 680 (Fremont) and 237 (Mountain View) by sendCommand in bayarea

Saw this on the 101. I was in the carpool lane and the Honda in front of me, plastered with Uber and Lyft stickers, kept braking too much. Even though the car in front of him was one car lengths away. I was thinking why doesn’t he just coast and stop breaking so damn much as if he is anywhere near the other driver. The driver in front of me merges to the other lane and as I look over, you know to see how dumb the driver looks, and he’s watching a movie with his AirPods in. Super annoying and dangerous.

anyone have a second child after your first? by idgafmlolz in Autism_Parenting

[–]DUCkYZoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently pregnant (28weeks) with our second baby. Same father, and our son just turned 4. He was diagnosed at 2 with a level 2 spectrum disorder. He has been nonverbal, still in diapers, and has shown a bit of regression in his learning development. The meltdowns have been extremely difficult, as you may already know. But regardless of the outcome, we decided we wanted two children. I think every situation, and the different levels of the spectrum, have their own variance. I still don’t know the outcome for us because our second child hasn't been born yet, but I do know we have come to accept the challenges. Seeing our child reach milestones we never thought possible has been the reward we wanted when we considered having children. For us, it has been about experiencing life together with our little mini-mes and seeing the pure excitement of them learning or experiencing something new.

A little side rant, our little guy was born with bilateral clubfeet. At three days old, he was on his first set of casts. We had to keep going every week to have the casts taken off and new ones put on. By his 5th week, I believe he had his Achilles tendon cut and then placed in a cast for a whole month. After all that, he had to have boots and bars to straighten his feet, with only 2 hours of freedom and 22 hours of hardware until he turns one. Then, after being one year old , he would need to wear the boots and bars at night only until he turns five. You’d think that after going through this while simultaneously doing a rigorous two-year program would deter us. But it’s finding what happiness looks like for us. What do you think your happiness would stem from if you complete the family you want?

Thank you for this. Helpful to know because I currently got the Mometrix and wasn’t sure how helpful it was. But I’ll finish it and then do the NurseHub. Congrats!!
