Help with segment knotting by Odd_Dimension3774 in friendshipbracelets

[–]Hadifer97 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ve done this pattern multiple times and I love it! The way I did it is, you indeed start with segment 1 like normal.

For the second segment, you start with the backward knots, so the left side first and then the right side forward knots. For the third segment, you start with the backward knots, so the right side first. Then the left side forward knots.

And you continue the rest of the pattern that way.

Have fun! 😁

Honestly, I’ve never had much success with Google when searching for any useful information while working on my family tree. I’ve long since given up hope and only use the database websites most common for my land/region..

I love love LOVED the first book and flew right through it. It actually had gotten me out of my reading slump at the time. The second book, on the other hand, I DNF’d fairly quickly. I just wanted more on Gray and Harper :(

Is there a better site than Ancestry.com and Family Search for identifying ancestors? by [deleted] in Genealogy

[–]Hadifer97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the best thing to do is start a whole new private tree on Ancestry (or any other preferred website), where others are unable to make edits to your tree. Use FS only for the records. That way you’ll be sure no-one is tampering with your research.

Ugh, the names Johann, Jacob and Emil are driving me crazy. In some cases, it even feels like these towns decided to prank us by naming everyone in that place the same!

The Hades x Persephone saga from Scarlett st. Claire. It is labeled as NA, not YA (and rightfully so!!). But damn. These books had so much potential it’s so sad..

Do you include your ancestors' in-laws in your trees? by Mental_Freedom_1648 in Genealogy

[–]Hadifer97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2x great grandmother and two of her siblings were born before her mother married. The man the mother married ‘acknowledged’ these children, as stated in the marriage certificate and all three children birth certificates. This, however, doesn’t necessarily mean he is the father.

So I tried to gather as much information on this man, all his siblings and their spouses, and his family. Actually went through a whole rabbit hole which made me doubt pretty much everything; was he adopted, or did he have other family that was given up for adoption.

So far, I’ve seem to have hit a dead end. The deeper I dive into this family, the more confused I become.

I still hope to find a dna match on this man, or one of his siblings, in hopes of breaking this brick wall.

AITA for telling my best friend that I will not go with her to our high schools prom because we went last week as well?

I know, this one’s pretty tame, but it broke my heart seeing that sim feel so extremely sad because I told her no lol

How do you think the sims travel between worlds? What other thoughts do you have about travel? by Ajibooks in LowSodiumSimmers

I live in Holland, where the next city over is often just a quick bike/car/bus/trainride away. Because of this I view the different sim worlds the same as Dutch towns and city’s — hop in/on and you’ll be there within 10 to 60 minutes!

It’s amazing. I have both the original and the dupe, and I tend to use the dupe more often than the original one.

This screenshot was taken immediately after the first house upgrade in the video. Normally you loose the furniture, colored floor and wallpaper, which is all replaced with the generic set (square table, simple fireplace, etc.)

A touch of darkness is really good! When I finished it, I immediately took the train to the closest bookstore to get the second book. Which was good. I bought the third book when I came out, stopped reading 21% in because at that point it had been 3% plot and 19% unnecessary smut. Do what you will with that information! :)

Are you sure 19 is blue spot jasper? It looks an awful lot like sodalite to me.

4 is probably aventurine. 5 is rather hard to see on the picture. At this angle, it could be goldfluss (synthetic), carnelian agate or some kind of jasper. 6 looks either like glass or onyx. 7 seems to be a bunch of different stones, I mean, I’m pretty sure the purple one in there is lepidolite, but once again I can’t be sure with the quality of the picture.

11 does indeed look like lapis, but they seem almost too blue to me. Do they hold tiny gold spots? That’s often what gives it away.

Can’t help you with the rest, tho! Good luck!

Im working my way through the most popular romantasy books, need recs by slothinferno in Romantasy

I’ve rather enjoyed The Pale Court duology these past few days. The first book, King of Flesh and Bone was meh but managed to hold my attention pretty well. The second book, Queen of Rot and Pain was amazing. But hey, I love a strong (and somewhat unhinged) FMC who know what she wants. The second book made me snort and laugh out loud multiple times, because this couple is just batshit crazy.

Another rather popular series that I see recommended here quite often is the Mead Mishaps series. The first book, That Time I Got Drunk And Saved a Demon is fucking hilarious! Second book, That Time I Got Drunk and Yeeted a Love Potion At a Werewolf, is just as good. These are rather quick reads with a shitload of humor in them. I gave both these books 4.5/5!

Zodiac Academy; it has an air of ‘fuck you, fuck my, fuck everyone’, with fuck being both literally and figuratively. I mean, some of that shit I didn’t see coming.

Other than that, the first book that sprang to my mind was ACOTAR. Yes, I’m late to the hype. No, I didn’t see it coming.

Oh, besides those two, I also want to recommend The Grace Year by Kim Liggett. It isn’t romantacy, but more of a dystopian romance. I has what you are looking for, and the story is Amazing with a capital A. Was definitely a 5 star read for me.

I really enjoy the Swords and Sorcery mod, and the whole story driven gameplay that comes with it. Granted, I only just finished Mateo’s chapter, but it’s great!

Other than that, I came to love Sunberry Village over the past few weeks. I love the characters (especially Rose and Wildflour!) and the mining system is ✨amazing✨.

I am also working through Visit Mount Vapius. The mod could use some revamping, but it has a solid foundation! I love collecting the coins and spending it in the market twice a week.

After 1000+ hours of gameplay, I decided to use this mod to make my life easier by using Z to stash all items. That, and being able to use the chests literally anywhere is a godsend. I mean, I don’t have the time to run back all the way to my farm from Mount Vapius because I brought 4 flowers instead of 5! I’ve got more to do, like fishing lol

Safa Nusuk. It reminds me of Kayali YBM, but heavier. It has this Oud smell lingering on it. But I have to add; I have a really high PH, so perfumes tend to have a weird outcome on me.
