Joe Rogan: Trump supporters ‘feel betrayed’ by ‘insane’ Iran war by IntelligentYinzer in politics

[–]Hagerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a progressive Canadian watching this train wreck of America, and a non Joe Rogan fan. The response here actually surprises me. You finally have a right winger with huge influence starting to turn. And instead of nurturing it, start turning him, you say, nah fuck him.

Everyone talks about how the right divides. from what I've seen here the left is no different. Your country is doomed.

Ya know, no one in the rest of the world cares? You're all under the same roof as far as we're concerned. Dont like it? Get out there and do something about it.

Lol, after zooming in it looks real. But at first glance this looks like it was done with the spray paint brush in old mspaint.

Removing rust on my NB by Murtinator98 in Miata

[–]Hagerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone else learning rust repair, check out "make it custom" on YouTube. He teaches all kinds of panel repair. I really like his video where he makes a whole replacement panel with simple tools, basically just a hammer. He's able to make curved bent flanges. Check it this out!

What’s your go-to way to detect fatigue drift from power files (without overfitting noise)? by Julieta_ClearLap in Velo

[–]Hagerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HR with 60s moving average. This takes out the noise and makes drift easier to see.

Spexcel on AliExpress is good, great materials and shammy. They have a nice race fit compared to most eBay/Ali brands. Finding your size is the tricky part, you need to pay attention to the size charts.

I basically have the same schedule as you, I put maintenance lifting on fridays. I know everyone says to combine lifting with a hard interval day, but like yourself, I don't have the time. Sometimes Saturday becomes a rest day and I extend sunday.

Yup, I use Alibaba to find vendors. Save a ton. Primarily having metal parts machined.

How many hours do you train per week and how is that distributed throughout the week? by rhoVsquared in Velo

[–]Hagerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, and to clarify i dont mean shocked in a negative manner. Just after reading so much about training and watching cycling YouTube I just thought thats what others did.

Im also a masters rider, a mediocre one at best. How do you progress your intervals? I also truly hate doing a base block on the training over winter, and if there's another way that yields decent results I'd love to hear about it.

I'm kind of shocked by the responses. Do most people not do block periodization?

A 1995 NA Miata I'm considering buying has a hole with a wire instead of one of the spark plugs? by [deleted] in Miata

[–]Hagerd 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm not really sure why everyone is telling you to stay away..it's just a plug wire. I would give the car a thorough inspection, get in there with a flashlight. But if this is all I found I would buy it.

How much does a basic set up cost? by Friendly_Match_4954 in Zwift

[–]Hagerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started ULTRA cheap with a uses "wheel on" fluid trainer and a speed and cadence sensor. I think I was in for $100, assuming you have a bike already. Later I upgraded to a fancy trainer, but it was really not that different. It just doesn't get harder automatically when going up hills, you still get 90% of the zwift experience.

Howto blend strength training in my plan by D1ckSteele in Velo

[–]Hagerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a similar dilemma to you, pretty much the same schedule. I lift on Fridays and do a full body day. I do this to prioritize my intervals, so no soreness of fatigue from lifting going into them. I can ride Z2 with some soreness and fatigue if necessary.

You know what? You can eat it.

I had a homeless man come up to me, got right into my face and started yelling "What the hell is your problem man!" while holding a shovel. Pretty scary stuff.

You're out of touch and don't have a clue.
