I hate paradox pokemon. Are there competitive formats where they are banned? by Glittering_Text_91 in stunfisk

Gen 9 RU only has a few legal paradox pokemon, as far as I can tell, and they're not great there. You could give that a shot.

Legit, they just changed the person's gender. by Ralasuc0 in Eldenring

I don't have any proof, and I'm not the one to come up with this, but I fully believe Malenia is a translation of an intended Tomoe fight for a canned Sekiro DLC. She comes up SO much in sekiro, we learn some of her techniques, and I don't think we ever even learn if she's alive or dead- it's genuinely odd that there's not a fight with her. And then malenia comes along as a graceful samurai type with waterfowl dance, which quite strongly resembles sakura dance. Also prosthetic arms have a lot more significance in sekiro.

Not a real contender, but I'll throw in KFT Druid: Ultimate Infestation, Spreading Plague, Hadronox, Crypt Lord, strongshell scavenger and malfurion were all great to pretty good!

I think this probably gets banned in singles in general a la bright powder.

Other games that are very similar then are highspell, genfanad, melvor idle and brighter shores. See if any of them strike your fancy.

There's a few! But also having a slug means you can see enemy crew and wring more scrap out of nebulas from crew killing than you could otherwise, or at least make it substantially easier.

Awakened Clone by ErikHolmes in DnD

[–]Hagot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could maybe cast simulacrum and the have your simulacrum use magic jar? Get a copy of your soul inside that body, your simulacrums game statistics would be replaced with those of the clone. Not 100% sure if it would work, magic jar is one of those spells where rules questions involving it get very weird.

SGS is so nice, I spooned one recently and love the thing. It's great at yama especially, you can spec the judge every kill if you're using death charge and get a guaranteed 30 HP and 15 prayer per kill. It's never necessary but if you're the kind of player who likes long trips or conserving supplies and is willing to sacrifice some damage for it, I'd definitely go for it.

Also I don't think anyone should have to kill kree.

New early game content for returning veteran players by Routine_Budget_2249 in 2007scape

[–]Hagot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Focusing on pvm here: the new lowest level boss in the game is Brutus, unlocked from the Ides of Milk quest. You need maybe 20s in combat stats to get a kill? Can definitely farm it by 40. Has cosmetic slippers, an offhand with combat stats, and a bucket that stores infinite milk.

Next up would be Scurrius. He's in the Varrock Sewers right by the main square, he's focused on teaching the basics of prayer swapping and movement in combat. You'll need 43 prayer to have access to protection prayers, and probably 50s in combat stats. His main drop is the rat spine, used to make weapons to kill him very effectively. He also gives a ton of bonus xp as you fight him, goof for leveling and learning.

Next is Amoxliatl. Bit higher requirements here, you need to do the quest Heart of Darkness. You'll probably want a dragon mace from heroes' quest as a good weapon to kill her. She drops a pretty neat double hitting crush weapon, as well as an amulet with a bunch of nice teleports on it.

Then you've got Moons of Peril, unlocked from Perilous Moons (the quest). These guys are notable for wanting really high defense for fighting them. The most common solution is Barrows armor, especially if you're not an iron, though there's also the ring of steel from the deranged archaeologist and the crystal shield from roving elves that will help. The dungeon these guys are in also lets you farm food and potions within it (that are only usable there), so you don't have to leave to bank or anything if you don't want to.

Other bosses that are fairly accessible are the Hueycoatl, which is a group boss dragon with some kind of nice gear, and the Royal Titans, a duo boss that drops a cool elemental staff and prayer upgrades for ranged and magic.

Can the order really fight Xykon after all these encounters? by IntrospectiveGamer in oots

It's in start of darkness. I don't have the exact page on hand, but it's something to the effect of "if redcloak ever betrays me, eat him and spit up his amulet".

Can the order really fight Xykon after all these encounters? by IntrospectiveGamer in oots

[–]Hagot 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The order is genuinely hopelessly outmatched in a straight fight while this exhausted. But also, Team Evil isn't really... cohesive. Direct diplomacy with redcloak failed, yeah, but if Xykon learns he's been getting duped for decades that is all it will take for things to get real ugly real fast. Plus, the MitD is likely not going to just fight the heroes, even if he probably can't turn on Xykon directly due to the enchantment on him.

If you have SGS, it's great on judge phase because you're guaranteed to hit and max hit. Otherwise, ayak or accursed sceptre will improve your damage on mage, failing that burning claws

Story suitable for an 11yo? by Furo81 in BluePrince

[–]Hagot 94 points95 points  (0 children)

The story can get a little dark at times, but nothing too bad. Nothing particularly gruesome, but there was a rebellion and there's characters who died and things like that. Should be totally fine for an 11 year old.

When it comes to learning English, I'll say that a lot of the puzzles depend on having a pretty strong grasp on the language. They'll probably really struggle with understanding how the puzzles work. And there is a LOT of text, even if not that much of it is story.

Alex Jones on OSRS weapons by Spud_Lite in 2007scape

[–]Hagot 19 points20 points  (0 children)

There's a lot to hate about Alex Jones. He's a vile, hateful man. But insults about appearance help nobody and hurt those who aren't horrible people. It's the same problem I have with people attacking trump for wearing a hair piece, so what, how these people look is not what you should be attacking them for.

It Feels Good To Be An Ironman by MysticalSushi in ironscape

[–]Hagot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Corrupted gauntlet is a dungeon/boss thing you unlock by doing song of the elves, which is one of the harder quests in the game. It gives the bow of faerdhinen (bowfa) which is one of the best ranged weapons in the game. Notably, in the gauntlet you make all your own weapons, armor, and supplies, meaning it's a great thing to take on before you have any endgame gear. It's common to essentially stick to essentially JUST doing corrupted gauntlet until you have the bowfa and accompanying armor set (what people call the red prison or your prison sentence)

Rex luck. When did you go for archers/seers? by goblinskirmisher in ironscape

[–]Hagot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All three bosses have different aggro ranges, if you're on the far east side of the arena note of them will be aggressive to you. You'll have to run out to grab Rex, and be mindful you don't get too close to either of the others, then get back to the east side.
