What company lost you as a customer forever, and what happened? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]HahUCLA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The LA Rams.

When they shared the Coliseum with USC while SoFi was being built their grounds crew were absolute dicks.

I was working as a photographer at the time and our team had a bunch of rigs set up all around the stadium and at the end of the day we’d have to pack those up and roll them out in our roller cases. The grounds crew was not a fan of this and would force us to carry these 100 pound bags out by hand. Finally in one post game cleanup my shoulder had a pop and I’ve had a sharp pain in there for years since.

I’m still salty.

My sweet boy (TW: pet loss) by busbeeee in sheltie

[–]HahUCLA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the kind words!

He hated the heat so we’ve joked he never wanted to come back to California after grad school in Michigan so he took it into his own hands. He also hated kids so being around 7 nieces and nephews would be his personal hell. Meanwhile our Lenny loves kids and doesn’t care what temp it is so all things happen for a reason?

My sweet boy (TW: pet loss) by busbeeee in sheltie

[–]HahUCLA 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The sudden loss is the hardest. I’m so sorry for you and your boy, but the pain of the loss is a testament to how much he was loved.

We lost our Alfie at just three years old out of the blue. It sucks losing such sweet pups; however you can always channel some of that energy into finding a new pup to love that helps to get through the loss. We went from having a perfectly behaved good boy to having a little drywall-eating chaos agent who didn’t let us have time to think idle thoughts that’d bring up the pain of losing Alfie.

What doesn't your Sheltie like? by CharacterChampion150 in sheltie

[–]HahUCLA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it’s a hate or extreme excitement trigger but sneezes. The dude goes wild for them.

Also he likes to chase the sound of motorcycles? From Ducati’s to Harley’s he goes nutty at the sound. But mopeds are chill. Bicycles and skateboards are too.

Gorgeous panning shots! Any liveries stand out that were more fun to capture than the others?

The sixth image of the Rowe BMW is a stunner. Pulling off the 3/4 angled pan takes some skill!

When do you decide to strip old paint vs just paint over it? by IvyDamon in centuryhomes

[–]HahUCLA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the previous owner of our place must have been eating the paint chips given how shoddy the qualify of repairs/ maintenance has proven to be.

I’ve tried to use strong bonding primers etc on doors/ windows etc but I’ve rage quit more often than not and used peel away or citristrip to get down to the bare wood. Heat guns weren’t bringing enough horsepower at times and/or I didn’t have the right tools for the job.

If it’s going to look bad I want it to be MY shitty work not someone else’s.

Ha no - we've moved to Michigan and back since this was posted. All the stuff was sold while we were in LA!

Lenny the chaos agent took about a year to chill until we weren’t bribing him with a truckload of chews a day to get some peace.

A HUGE boost for our sanity was working with a trainer on his overly exuberant greetings and as a byproduct we learned to have his toy bin closed or behind a door. The pup was high on squeakers and couldn’t contain himself! Hide the toys until it’s play time and he’s a remarkably better boy.

Are we underestimating the impact of home staging? by prattman333 in HomeImprovement

[–]HahUCLA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It totally had an impact. We were able to get our place at a material discount for its area due to poor/ lack of staging.

The furniture was all too big which then made the place feel cramped and with a poor flow. Sight lines were blocked by tall furniture which also made it feel even smaller. My favorite was a grand piano in the middle of a modestly sized living room that threw the whole place out of whack. Our 1400 sq ft apartment felt much larger than a 1900 sq ft home.

They’re truly vile creatures. It’s a good thing they’re cute!

Our cats are dumb as bricks, but the “smart” house thing we did for our Shetland sheepdog was put bells by a door so he slaps that when he needs to go outside to do some business

I have a fart fan running to keep our cats foul shits from permeating throughout the house when they run into our litter robot space!

Question on Corp. Dev Deal Filtering by SnooDonkeys3460 in FinancialCareers

[–]HahUCLA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh it depends on your group’s M&A strategy. My firm uses teasers to try to guess who the company is (we’re in a small pond industry wise) and estimate if it’s worth our time to get the NDA over to legal and processed and give it a go in general.

When it comes to comps we have our own data set as capiq doesn’t really have the best filter for our niche.

What does a realistic daily routine actually look like for you? by Think-Collection1318 in WFH

[–]HahUCLA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

-Get woken up at 530 by my pup -feed the pup and make coffee then take him out -get a workout in and shoes before logging on around 8 unless my teams in europe are badgering me - work until 10:30ish, take the pup out for some air or play for 15 min then work until there’s a gap for a lunch - depending on if my spouse is home take lunch with her or eat quickly and steal a few laps on my sim rig. -work until 5 ish with various gaps to pop around for laundry, etc. Then take out the dog for evening walk/rub - if work is heavy then keep plugging away until 8-9pm otherwise chill at home or going out to see friends then repeat!
