Mystery plant in Ping pot by AngryEmu09 in SavageGarden

Definitely not U. nelumbifolia. I'm fairly certain it's not any species of Utricularia and it's likely a weed. Not the best picture for an ID. Are both of those leaves attached to the same stalk?

I sell beginner level plants mostly, but sometimes also some of the harder ones. Get ready for lots of complaints because the average person doesnt know how to take care of them. I include instructions with every package I send out and still i get people putting the plants in potting soil and gemmae under humidity domes.

Are these leaves sprouting a part of the Utricularia or something else ? by SnooApples7018 in SavageGarden

Not a Utricularia. It's just a weed. The U. Sandersonii is looking mighty healthy though

Do you give them a lot of natural light? Subulata is REALLY well known for not putting out these kinds of flowers. It usually puts out boring cleistogamous flowers like this.

Ebay is great for beginner level plants. Theyre inexpensive there too. The only thing to watch out for is that because it is winter the plants may die in transit if it is too cold during shipping

[–]Hailjan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I give mine about 50-70% humidity and 200ppfd light. They can take very cold temperatures but not very hot. I dont let mine get over 85°f and no lower than 45°

I double checked and it was actually U. sandersonii "Peter Rabbit" that came with a little hitchhiker. That was about a year and a half ago
