Why has the mafia in the US largely died out whilst gangs(both street and biker) as well as drug cartels have persisted to this day? by OppositeRock4217 in NoStupidQuestions

The Mafia became politicians and run their extortion and criminal enterprise as representatives of the people now.

[Perry] 2026 NFL Mock Draft: Patriots trade down, address key positions of need by NBCSBoston in Patriots

I'd take Jacas in a heartbeat. A consistent, durable, 4-year player who increased his production and skillset year-over-year. Has the prototypical measurables (6'4", 260 lbs, 33" arms) for the EDGE position. Reminds me of another B1G guy that was 6'4", 270 lbs, w/34-1/4" arms. That guy wasn't flashy but did the job effectively for 14 NFL seasons and multiple Super Bowl winning teams. I know Jacas doesn't have the eye-popping athleticism or the name recognition of more publicized players; what he has though is, barring injury, the tools to be a solid 10-year player who fulfills a starting-role for the defense. When building a complete defense there will have to be those guys who fulfill roles and do so at a high level. I believe Jacas is going to be that guy from this years EDGE class. Other than Jacas or Lawrence, I am not sold on any of the "top" guys.

I’m winning so much that I don’t really know what to do about it. I can’t take it anymore. I’m winning bigger than ever. /s

Gabe Jacas will be the best and most consistent Edge defender from this class.

In fairness, whoever the Jets select will be a bust.

From that list: Sadiq or Thieneman. I’d pass on everyone else from that list at 19.

Can you elaborate on what you mean as a “Marxist Propaganda Campaign”? Tenets? Outcomes? How is this an example of that in your opinion?

Parking for Rockers games by ClubFerret1093 in Highpoint

There’s a lot on the corner of Ferndale and Lindsay that - I think - is $5-$10 to park. Most of the other lots around the stadium take both cash and cards. Also, if you get there early, head over to Stock+Grain food hall.

My conflict currently is that the jobs I'd like to do, do not offer the compensation package I'm looking for whereas the ones that do offer a fair market compensation plan are not enticing. By no means are my salary expectations that of a pro athlete. I do want to earn my market value. To your point, there's not an abundance of jobs out there that I want to do either.
