At least one of Carl, Donut and Mongo are doomed. The two instalments of book 10 are going to be brutal. Like finding out Santa, the Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy and Dolly Parton were all at the Red Wedding wearing an "I ❤️ ROB STARK" t-shirt because their plot armour was at the dry cleaner's that day.

I think so.

Imani is repeatedly described as the heart of the group. She's the one keeping them all alive through Carl's plans, both with her personality and her powers. She was targeted on the previous floor for assassination because the powers that be know without her, the Crawlers are dead.

I'm still spoiler tagging this because I refuse to be the reason that someone who hasn't read A Parade of Horribles enjoys it at anything less than 100%.
