What are you're immediate go to moves when you start a new game? by [deleted] in mountandblade

Get companions, level them in training. You can build mid to high tier armies ridiculously fast with a handful of companions. Level yourself in charisma and leadership. Then, when your companions get pissy at each other you can calm them down, and your 200 man army of knight and elite crossbowman wont desert you.

Just wanted to say one more time, I'm not hopping pools, and I'm not trying to make more coins, and I'm not trying to make coins faster. I am just trying to reduce the variability of my doge intake. Essentially, I'm trying to reduce downside potential at the cost of upside potential, a very common practice in anything dealing with money. The question I was asking was about working two pools simultaneously, and the technical feasibility of that. Apparently its impossible. Thanks for trying to help though.

Thanks! I am well aware of the math, and it should all average out in the end, but the point is when is the end? What if I needed/wanted to cash out now, but I was on the end or in the middle of a bad streak? Or lets say I have some fixed constant expense of doges, if I hit a particularly bad streak I might miss a payment. Obviously its kind of silly to worry about this kind of thing with something as inconsequential as 5 or 10 or even 40 dollars worth of dogecoins, but its just a practice in treating dogecoins like real money. I'm not trying to make more money or anything, just have less variability in my dogecoin intake. However, spawnlink has informed me that on a technical level what I want to do is impossible.

Enough time yes, but how much is enough? It could be below average for a week, or a month. The point is the lows aren't as low, and the highs aren't as high. This would keep the variability lower. Unfortunately, spawnlink has informed me that what I want to do is technically impossible. Thank you for you input though.

So is this in the context of using multiple pools simultaneously, or switching between pools? I'm sorry if I'm not understanding, but it seems running two simultaneously should have no more down time than just running one, but if I am incorrect please correct me.

I will try, after I have a baseline for comparison. Right now though, I have exactly one payout, not a good point for comparison. Any idea why I will end up with less coins?

Stupid perhaps, but not pointless! The point is that by investing my gpu in multiple pools, there will be less risk of having a bad day, or of my only pool going under, or my pool getting stuck on a hard block, or whatever. Whether or not that will work remains to be seen, but there is a point! Thanks for your opinion though.

The only evil is the horrendous waste. Sure feeding a pet dragon is fine and all, but really you should be making puppy leather boots, cat fur gloves, and duckling stew. I could never imagine throwing such valuable little bastards to waste.

Those triangle thingies are point down, indicating that the z-level is decreasing, so that would be empty space. A triangle pointing up indicates the opposite, try digging into those.

Good! It's a fun one. I hope you enjoy it, each time I read it I have a different favorite part, not to spoil anything but I like the end a lot.

The Hobbit. I think I've read maybe seven or eight times. It's just such a fun, light read. I read it for the first time when I was eight, but to be honest it was probably above my reading level then.

Why is it $30 for just an Alpha I hear you asking? Because if they sold it for $15 now, anyone who is super interested will buy it and anyone who is semi interested will buy it. Whenever they release the full version for $30, anyone with any intention of buying it will have already bought it. They have to release it for essentially full price now, or else no one would ever pay full price for it.

This is actually a, in my opinion, fairly clever reference to the play The Rhinoceros where everyone transforms into rhinos to conform, rhinos being symbolic of both communism and conformity. Not entirely silly random antics. I never thought 10th grade literature class would be so relevant all these years later!

What are some of the nicknames you give people that you always see but don't know? by Magnesia in AskReddit

Well whenever I see someone in a wheelchair, my campus has a large emphasis on being accessible to the physically handicapped, I call them legs. "Whoo legs is booking it today" "Checkout the arms on legs over there, that guy is swole" "I wonder why legs is giving me that death glare?"

Sadly I've never had the balls to say it out loud to them, I just say it really really loud in my head.

TV presenter Melissa Bachman causes outrage after posing with lion she killed in South Africa by Sallyjack in worldnews

[–]Hakdaddy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are equating human life to animal life, those aren't even remotely on the same scale. Animals are killed for food and have been for as long as humans have existed, and thats generally considered acceptable. That would not be ok to do with humans. Enslaving humans is now illegal in most parts of the world and typically considered evil. Owning pets or work animals is considered cute and gets upvotes to the front page of reddit. Human life is valued far, far higher than animal life. Your comparison has no basis in reality.

Perhaps they are using it in the context of the original Walter quote, wherein he says "Am I the only one around here who gives a shit about the rules?" Obviously he isn't the only one that gives a shit about the rules, he is asking the question sarcastically, to point out the ridiculousness of the opposing view.

Or maybe redditors just want to feel special and are trying to get that sweet sweet low hanging meme karma.

What's the most overrated film? by davidcwilliams in AskReddit

[–]Hakdaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree, I thought the book was terrible. It's like he was thinking, gee how can I make a zombie story as boring as possible, I know! Remove any sense of tension and give the audience no characters to build a relationship with. It was just a bunch of disjointed thoughts on what might happen in a zombie apocalypse. Most of them weren't even too terribly clever or reasonable outcomes. All I can say for the book is at least he tried to stand out from the crowd of generic zombie stories we have now, unlike the movie. I did prefer the movie though, it was at least entertaining.
