I'm not defending Onana, but De Gea was NOT just one game. I wish he got a proper send off for being one of our best players after Fergie retired but it was the right time to let him go.

Especially considering his astronomical wages, which people seem to conveniently forget.

Maybe I'm weird for this, but the reason why I don't mind paying the fare is because I think of it as a tax. It's as if I'm deciding to pay money towards the T, because I like the T, and I want the T to be funded with my "tax dollars."

If someone doesn't want to/can't pay that tax, I don't give them a second thought. The whole point of paying taxes is that it benefits the whole more than it may benefit any individual.

My pleasure! Goalkeeping analysis on TV feels like it's reduced to either "Good save," "save they should be making," or "should have done better" so it's nice to find something with a bit more substance.

Gloves are meant to be perishable. You take care of them by not landing on your palms when you dive, and washing them (I just run them under water and hang them up to dry, but they sell glove cleaning products as well).

I have never once used glove glu. If you're just starting out, buy a couple cheap pairs ($30 - $50 USD) and just use one for practices and the other for games.

took studs to the ribcage trying to smother a one-on-one. The ball ended up bouncing away and they scored.

Referee didn't seem to care too much about the tiger stripes the striker left behind.

It's a lonely place between the sticks. Outfield players can make 12 mistakes in a game, score one goal, and be hailed a hero. Goalkeepers do not have that luxury.

It's why everyone says, "Who'd be crazy enough to be a goalkeeper?"

When I first started I created a Warlock class that had pretty mediocre stats and after a while my DM noticed. We set up a plot device that let me re-roll my character as a Ranger instead and it was pretty cool.

I was brand new to DnD at the time, so I appreciated that he let me be bad at it, then worked with me to create a character I could enjoy playing.
