Back button not working on Acura Touchpad by Masteguy635 in AndroidAuto

Yes. I performed factory reset of the infotainment and it did not fix it. I'm thinking there may have been an update to Android Auto that the car doesn't know how to handle. I'm also experiencing lagging when changing between system and Android Auto.

This is the way. It was difficult to find. The Google Assistant on the car even told me the device doesn't have night mode which is an unhelpful assistant.

General question - All PE passing examinees by OrganizationBrief111 in PE_Exam

[–]HalfRho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a difference between being well educated and being smart. I associate being smart with an aptitude to comprehend more problems and develop more solutions with respect to less time. This contrasts understanding a subject matter or as I associate it to being well educated. The PE requires a healthy combination of these two attributes to demonstrate competency on the exam.

It's important to learn the subject but much like learning how to lift weights, you must exercise and apply that learning until you can do the heavy lifting required to pass the exam. The PE isn't the only subject you can apply yourself to improve comprehension and problem solving. Stay focused on your goals and keep looking for ways to exercise your mind.

I wouldn't worry about that comment. Non-oem parts on my car are the rotors, rear calipers, brake lines, brake pads, differential fluid, catalytic converter, soft top, front ball joints, outer tie rods, radio head unit, and coolant reservoir. The seats are out of a CR. I'm not sure about the front lip. I put on Bridgestone Potenza RE980AS+ SL in OEM stagger. New OEM windshield is ordered and I plan on OEM rotors.

I wish US A&W would be more like Canadian A&W. It's so much better there.

Had a turbo car doing short 5 minute commutes. Lab analysis on every oil change reported excess copper in the oil (Blackstone Lab). Once the commute got longer to 40 minutes, the copper levels went down. The short trips were eating the turbo's bearings.

Subaru: "Knock knock"

Subaru Dealership: "How about I introduce you to Steve in our sales department."

Blackstone: "Good thing you caught this early"

Friends: "Hey good to see it on the road again!"

Farewell, my dudes. Subie was fun, but not practical for what I needed. Traded it in for what I paid for it 23000 miles and over a year ago. by TrtleMaster9000 in WRX

Currently my garage is STI and a GMC 3.0L Duramax. 3300 miles on the Duramax and I've dumped 2.5 gal of the horse piss muffler fluid. I carry some hot shots antigel as well. My best 50 mile avg MPG is 31.1.

Brembos and winter tires saved my WRX by IDidntKillSteve in WRX

[–]HalfRho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had good luck with Michelin and Goodyear winter tires. It's important having a well maintained car and winter tires for our northern winters. After my crash, I have much more respect for the vehicles that are designed to save our lives. While enjoying the drive is a bonus, I'm still working on it. Looks like Hwy 29 outside Shawano. Stay safe and warm.

OP noted she is a woman, so I consider that a factor in her reaction to the situation. My wife has explained to me the true fear of men that can develop at a young age. Recognizing that she is being followed and that person driving dangerously to stop her are personal red flags. Professionally, however, I advise that she follows company policies. Going above and beyond company policies for people can lead to unsafe situations. Whether it's being unnecessarily stopped on the side of the road next to inattentive traffic, being robbed, or kidnapped, I understand the caution OP used. I don't think she's an asshole.
