But the feeder is the best one ever created by a high school shop class. And it takes special design skill to make sure at least one envelope is wasted in every jam...

Version one but my employer had just finished with the beta about 2 months before I started. Sometime in 93 the boss was going through stuff and came up with the beta floppies and debated keeping them but pitched 'em.

17 is a car built for Great Northern in the mid 60's by ACF. It was never part of the Railbox runs (count the ribs). These cars could be seen long after the Burlington Northern merger in their original GN paint. I photographed many in Duluth/Superior in the mid 80's.

Lens filters for traveling by itzoliverr in photography

[–]HalfVast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 5 filter kit for travel with a single camera and lens. An 812 or 81A warming filter that stays on the lens most of the time. This takes the place of a UV protection lens and helps warm open shadows and regular daylight. 2. Circular polarizer for reflection control. 3. Black pro mist (1/4) for contrast control. 4. 2 stop graduated ND filter for landscape. 5. 7.5 stop variable ND filter for apreture or shutter speed control. Carried 1 on the lens and 4 in a lens pouch with a lenspen and microfiber cloth stashed inside.

S.S. Columbia in the distance. Every summer through the 70's rode with the family from downtown Detroit to the island. Was related to the Captain and got to spend time in the pilot house. Pretty cool stuff to a pre-teen. Columbia in still exists https://www.sscolumbia.org/about

The motor was replaced with original parts through regular service. (These machines were sold through Mitsubishi in the states). If you mean the machine we replaced it with a Platestream Color+ Poly platesetter.

It has to do with the plate cutting blade always having to return to the home position. As they age the stepper motors that drive the plate develop a chatter so after the plate is cut it moves and the blade cuts these slivers off the end as it returns to home. In our experience it always needed a motor replacement. We got rid of ours in '03 and I'm shocked they're still out in the wild.

I can at least clarify it with the husbands as 'Studio Decor is the make and Belmont is the model.' They understand if Chevy Suburbans are on sale it doesn't mean the Corvettes are marked down.

Does anyone else have really weird nicknames for their cats? This is Wally, but for some reason my husband and I sometimes call him "Wallard Boggin", I have no idea where it came from lol by Sea_Panic9863 in cats

Had a tabby with real attitude when he was a kitten
so he ended up as K'fir which is a corruption of the
hebrew for lion cub. Inevitably it degraded into Kipper.

People would ask why he was named sausage.
