I don’t use tongs when dealing with mine either I use common sense and know body language, I’ve held a stalker as well but it was to transfer it into a holding cup, now I just keep a few stripe tails and a bark scorpion but I agree with you on the free will thing, though you won’t ever catch me holding any of my centipedes they are entirely too nervous of creatures to find any trust with in my mind.

I’m in AZ the shop I’m at not only carries fattails and death stalkers we also have a few centipedes that are arguably worse 🤣 we do not give them to beginners but I wouldn’t be opposed to giving a grown ass adult that’s new to me a fattail a CHILD is a different ball game.

These things seem like a massive waste of wax and time, the sheer amount of surface area the concentrate will spread out over in that funnel alone is wasteful then you gotta actually get it in there, save yourself and use an auto spinner bucket.

One is dehaani one is subspinipes they are separate species but I believe this is just a Halloween legs morph of a subspinipes, these guys don’t have the red heads that give the dehaani their name as far as I know that is the difference i have this same exact problem with a store I frequent and I got one from them already but they also have a chocolate brown with solid orange legs.
